TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! TRACY WARD AND THE KANSAS CITY POLITICAL NEW SCHOOL NOW WORKING TOWARD E-TAX REPEAL!!!
Resiliency is the only virtue in Kansas City politics.
To wit . . .
ONE TIME 6TH DISTRICT AT-LARGE KANSAS CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE TRACY WARD IS NOW WORKING TOWARD REPEALING THE E-TAX!!!
Not even 24 hours after a defeat, Tracy is back at it and hoping to make her mark on Kansas City's political and financial landscape.
Already at work in this effort is Former 5th District At-Large Write-In Candidate Mahlon Davis.
Since the funding sources for the anti-E-Tax effort are sorta secret, I can't say exactly who they're working for but I DO know that both jobs were set up through Jeff Roe's Axiom Strategies.
Mahlon's work to raise awareness against the E-Tax was recently highlighted in a KSHB report.
Look for more grassroots organizing against the Kansas City E-Tax from this crew and a groundswell of folks who have vowed to work against the 1% tax that's now the center of a local battle for the fate of this cowtown.
DEVELOPING . . .
The E-Tax is Toast.
ReplyDeleteThis is really good news for the campain to keep the E-tax.
ReplyDeleteShit Tracy, go home already.
ReplyDeleteFunny, unless she makes over $80,000 repealing the etax will cost her money. Not very smart.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jeff Roe's Axiom Strategies is only one of many "pigs feeding off the city's taxpayers trough". And what a PIG Jeff Roe is!!
ReplyDeleteThe New School has always provided puppets that generate contributions to pay corporate pigs like Jeff Roe and Patrick Touhey.
ReplyDeleteThe argument that made me decide to vote for the etax: half of it is paid for by people who don't live here. That equals $100 million for our cops, firefighters, street maintenance, etc.
ReplyDeleteLet the people who fled the urban core for the mostly bland suburbs kick in some cash...
tracy needs to get out and get her signs off the right of way--of course, being anti-government, she probably thinks laws don't apply to her
ReplyDeleteYes Tracy, take down those plastic signs which will be hanging out in a landfill for the next 1,000 years unlike the other candidates' paper signs.
ReplyDelete7:14, the rest of that argument is this: 100 percent of the tax increases necessary to make up the loss of E-tax revenues will be paid by Kansas City residents.
ReplyDeleteOf course, Tracy will argue that 40 percent of the city's operating budget can be made up by cutting "waste and corruption," without of course bothering to cite specifically where this waste and corruption is.
She just knows it's there.
Kansas City a City that Works !
ReplyDeletePoor service, high crime.
The E-Tax is used to fund failed Tif projects, lawsuits, political gaffs.
Rob the worker and give to the rich politically connected. Why do you think the rich are all for the E-Tax? It's their Play Money.
And Jeff Roe brought us the Funkhouser/Squitiro duo with his portion of the play money.
ReplyDelete"Why do you think the rich are all for the E-Tax?"
ReplyDeleteBetter check you "facts."
You ever hear the name Rex Sinquefield?
If the E-tax is repealed, your savings will let you supersize at McDonald's.
Sinquefield's savings will allow him to buy a new Mercedes every month.
Oh, and I must add that your supersize at McDonald's will last only until you get the property tax bill to make up for the revenue we now receive from JoCo and the 'burbs.
ReplyDeleteThen you are out money.
Please don't tell me that Tracy is trying to make herself into the new Clay Chastain!
ReplyDeleteGO AWAY!
No real regional cooperation will occur until the Kansas City E-tax is eliminated.
ReplyDeleteOlder residence need to consider what will happen to them. They pay no e-tax if retired but will get hit with much higher property and sales taxes if the tax goes down.
ReplyDelete8:02 AM
ReplyDeleteBS Their money is being wasted.
If you cut the FAT at City Hall and make them LIVE WITHIN their budget there will be no raise in property taxes.
red hair? no one takes this
ReplyDeletewoman seriously.
if the e tax fails....watch the
incredible growth in joco...
kc will be dead.......
I think the E tax should be repealed, but I'm concerned that Tracy's pink hair will harm the campaign.
ReplyDeleteGo home and tend to your herbs!
Tracy fail.
ReplyDeletePeople'd call, say, "Beware doll, you're bound to fall,"
ReplyDeleteYou thought they were all a’kiddin' you.
A person who wants to run for office and doesn't have the sense or foresight to file doesn't deserve my consideration.
ReplyDeleteThis is going to be a circus, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteWhat would these barkers do without Tony? Maybe some heavy lifting instead of cheap shots.
I'm afraid supporting the repeal is going to be a political kiss of death for participants. Course they've already lost or not been able to suit up before, so not much lost... other than that the repeal folks will take anyone willing to help, whether skilled or not.
Too bad, i'd be in favor of cutting the tax at least in half or zeroed out. But big money (the developers who make money offa the city) will handily shout down the repeal types.
Do you agree? And in here, they'll do it anonymously with personal attacks on the repeal supporters... just like we saw in here this morning. And soemone will be assigned to play comment booster tit for tat until the fuckquing referendum.
A two ring circus.
"Stick" to Bukkake Tracy -- it is your strong suit.
ReplyDelete7:23: There is undoubtedly a lot of waste in city government (which is a friends and family proposition, after all), but if the e-tax is repealed, the waste is likely to remain and services will be cut.
ReplyDelete7:14 has the best argument. Those who use the services need to chip in even if they don't live in KC. Those who both live and work outside KC are not affected.
8:02's got a good point, too. People who have paid the e-tax all their lives and who are now retired are at risk of seeing higher property taxes and fees current e-tax payers would be paying if the measure passes.
All-in-all, there's really no good reason to vote yes on this one.
Fresh off her success as a candidate, Ward is lending her amazing public speaking skills and savvy to another campaign. Good work e-tax supporters. You can have her. Please, when April 6 rolls around and she botches this yet again, find something out of state for her to do.
ReplyDeleteFunk lost because of Gloria, Tracy lost because of pink hair and clueless view in etax.
ReplyDeleteHow does anyone who works for Jeff Roe and Axiom Strategies - on anything - still count as "New School"?
ReplyDeletedaaaaaaaannnnnnggg! super size at mikey d's? ise a rich man now! down wit da e tax!
ReplyDeleteDon't go away mad, Tracy. Just go away.
ReplyDeleteI'd Tracy Ward in the Ass and cum on her face and tits!
ReplyDelete9:16 AM
ReplyDeleteHow do other city pay for all those services. AND they have LOWER property taxes? And are doing better economically.
The other cities in the metro have actual operational municipal governments that focus on basic services like police, streets, etc and don't waste all their tax money on insiders' pipedreams and development attorneys' fees. KCMO hasn't had a city government that addresses any issues of residents for decades.
ReplyDeleteLet's see what priorities the new folks have!
WE ARE NOT BROKE, OUR MONEY IS FIGHTING WARS! WE ARE BLOWING UP ROADS IN OTHER COUNTRIES, THEN BUILDING THEM BACK(our money), we are building bomb parts in other countries(our money, buying bullets from other countries(our money), aiding friend and foe, to win them over to our from of governing(our money), we are being BLACKMAILED BY THE BANKS AND CORPORATIONS for incentives, TAX BREAKS, INVESTMENT RETURNS(assurances), YEP, our money!
ReplyDeleteWHAT'S THIS ALL ABOUT...our money!
That meet and greet looked super pro.
ReplyDeleteMahlon's a nice looking man. Might I suggest since he's so dark skinned, he might avoid white shirts and wear warmer colors to reduce the contrast. And a bit of powder or a bit of advice from a real makeup artist would take the skin shine off.
ReplyDeleteI just know that trying to color correct a photo of a dark subject wearing white is a contrast- adjustment nightmare. He needs to be softened down a bit. Black men should avoid too much white/light around their faces. It's just too stark a contrast.
Anyone disagree?
This just in. Radioman is a fringy weirdo and a total creep! From his blog:
ReplyDelete"Kay was classy but she didn't set the world on fire, imho. Neither did the Beaver though he's a smart guy. Berkley was a snooze. We having had a good mayor since Dr Mumbles or really H Roe.
As to the earnings tax, well screw local forty two. There aren't any fires anyway and what there are, the KCFD just lets em burn.
Transfer murders over to public works for dead body pickup since the cops can't clear cases. They drive too fast chasing stolen cars, run too many radar traps, and the only way you can get even is to defund their asses.
This whole city is over policed, just like the country where if ya work for the government you're either with the FBI or TSA.
It's ridiculous, sacred cows, all of em"
Get even? I mean you actually said "get even". Whatever your hangup is that makes you want to defund the police and fire departments, I think maybe you should just pay your tickets and settle down.
From what I understand Mahlon Davis is the only one of these two holding meet and greets through out the city, so Tony has Tracy through one yet are you still blowing smoke up her ass.
ReplyDeleteRadioman KC
ReplyDeleteI’ll come out of anonymity and respond. Repealing the e-tax’s message back in November was “let the voters decide.” But the voters had decided already at least twice in its history and that decision was in support of the e-tax. With good reason too. Of those cities that have e-tax, Kansas City is one of the lowest in the nation at just 1%.
Notice that the only two cities in MO who have it are on the state’s border. Philadelphia has a whopping 4% e-tax and it’s on the border of New Jersey and within 50 miles of Maryland and New York. This is a tax on people who use our resources and oftentimes fail to significantly contribute to public services in any other way.
Now Tracy Ward and her supporters may say the city can get by with losing 40% of its operating budget, but they’re woefully misinformed. They may desire to streamline the government, remove waste and corruption, and slash department spending. But when pressed for details, I’ve not heard a single concrete example of what they would cut, whose jobs they would eliminate, and what’s considered an unnecessary service that Kansas City can do without. At the Southern Communities Coalition meeting earlier this month, Tracy Ward was asked point blank what services she would eliminate if the e-tax failed and she was in charge. Tracy dodged the question in its entirety.
I’m all for eliminating waste. I’m all for ending corruption. I’m all for a leaner meaner government that will serve the people rather than the people serving it. You know what? Everyone’s for that.
What I’m not for is cutting off the legs of our budget and THEN grasping at solutions to all our problems, because I guarantee whatever we choose in our moment of panic and desperation will not stop the bleeding.
So if we want to make government more efficient while still serving all the people, I’m all for that. Once we approve the e-tax I’d love to work with Tracy to root out all that corruption. She just needs to give me specifics on where it is.
Mahlon Davis is having another event on the Monday the 28th of this month at Papa Lews on 12th and Brooklyn from 3pm-5pm,and the first 25 people eat free everybody after that will have to pay for their food. They are inviting everybody to come out and have an opening discussion about the E-Tax. So if you are not busy come on out and enjoy some good food.
ReplyDeleteAll you have to do is check his Facebook page, free food I'm there.
I'd fuck Tracy Ward in the Ass and cum on her face and tits!
ReplyDeleteThose are two clueless people!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that Jeff Roe humbly admits to needing help in the anti- E-Tax campaign.
ReplyDeleteHe's now brought in the big guns- Mahlon and Tracy- to do the heavy lifting.
Maybe I should hire this crew to begin working for me on my campaign for state rep. next year?
NAHHHHHHH.

10:23: I honestly don't know how other cities operate, and I won't deny that KC wastes a LOT of money--the Tracy St. homes (thank heavens Ken Bacchus didn't get a second bite at taxpayer's money) and the Gloria lawsuits are excellent examples, but I can tell you I'm familiar with Oklahoma City, where there is no e-tax and property taxes are lower. When I drive there at night I miss KC's well-lighted streets. I'd like to see KC eliminate or at least reduce the waste and fraud (or, hell, at least make an effort to), but if we compare what we get for what we pay, we may not be doing too badly here.
ReplyDeleteCan other people share their comparisons of how other cities without an e-tax make do?
3/24/11 11:52 AM
ReplyDeleteRight ON LOL!!! The E-Tax is a very important matter, KC all ready messed up when we reelected the some assholes on city council again. Lets not mess this up, we have to shot down the E-Tax if we really what to save our city. So the guy having that meet and greet I'm there.

YOU'RE RIGHT, BUT OBAMA STILL HAS A COUPLE OF YEARS IN OFFICE, AND HE JUST STARTED ANOTHER WAR.
Obama was asked in El Salvador if he was going to give back the Nobel Peace Prize.
ReplyDelete11:39 AM It's easy get rid of our bloated city government. Their not delivering on the services anyway.
ReplyDeletePeople keep saying lose fir and police. That's BS we just passed a public safety sales tax. Did you add that into the e-tax, when comparing KCMO to other cities?
The problem with Tracy is that in an electorate that skews substantially older than the population at large, her Pink hair isn't taken seriously by all the blue hairs that vote in these low-turnout elections.
ReplyDeleteI'd be surprised if any of u idiots even vote
ReplyDelete8:20. Make no mistake, free trash service will be cut on day one. No if ands or buts about it. Do you know what private trash service costs? Probably more then you pay in etax.
ReplyDeleteWe can seem to get rid of the trashy government in city hall and u.s. congress, what up with that.
ReplyDeleteWhy should trash service be free? Nowhere I have lived has trash service been free.
ReplyDeleteHow come with free trash service, Kansas City neighborhoods are so trashy?
Yeah. Trash service is free, yet trash is blowing everywhere.
ReplyDeleteTrash. Loose dogs. Graffiti. Other crime. Bad schools. KC, capital of the third world.
ReplyDelete@2:42..LMAO!!! ROFL!!! Because it is sooo true.
ReplyDeleteMurder, corportate embezzlement, developer thugs,consruction/
contractor crooks, mafia at the boats...Liveable city? Give me a break. Repeal the E-Tax.

Talk to mr hope and change about this.
4:23: Great logic. Things are rotten. Let's make sure they stay rotten.
ReplyDeleteCrazy white people found Tony's blog. Correction: Crazy white Republican people.
ReplyDelete1:18, 2:41, 2:42, etc.: Trash service is not "free." It is paid for by the e-tax. If the e-tax fails, trash service will be paid for by other means.
ReplyDeleteIf Tracy wants to cut the fat, she can start with her own spare tire.
ReplyDeleteTracy how dare you challenge the establishment with your pink hair. Now they are calling you fat!!! LIKE OMG. You are so not going to win Prom Queen.
ReplyDeleteWhat does Tracy wanting to cut a fart have to do with the E-Tax, 7:55?
ReplyDeleteHere's what I don't get. Why am I, someone who works in KC but doesn't live in KC have to pay taxes so you can get rid of your trash? I pay for the service of getting rid of my own household trash, the business owner I work for pays to haul trash from the business I work at but I have to pay so KCMO homeowners don't feel the pain or expense of badly managed basic city services?
ReplyDeleteI mean, you're right, it's a great scam to get someone else to pay for your shit but damn, the return on that money is pretty piss poor.
KCMO e-tax lovers revel in the immorality of stealing money from others.
ReplyDeleteTime to quit driving business out of KC. Time to kill the E-xtortion Tax. Good job, Tracy!
ReplyDeleteHell, we need a second etax to hire staff to go out and remove all the illegal Tracy signs in the Public Right of Way.
ReplyDeleteJesus christ so many of you people are fucking retarded. I hope you all get aids you fucking dumb shits.
ReplyDelete
