TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KCUMB'S PRESIDENT AND CEO H. DANNY WEAVER PLEDGES CONTINUED FULL COOPERATION WITH GRAND JURY IN PLETZ INDICTMENT!!!
Because AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS have a sense of humor, a recent message was sent my way was entitled "Bitch going to jail" . . . I thought it was going to be funny diatribe but ultimately it was something far more useful . . .
CHECK OUT A STATEMENT FROM THE CURRENT PRESIDENT AND CEO OF THE KANSAS CITY UNIVERSITY OF MEDICINE AND BIOSCIENCES PLEDGING FULL COOPERATION IN THE PLETZ INDICTMENT!!!
The KCUMB Prez seems like he wants to move past the drama but as the public spotlight remains focused on the case . . . I doubt the discussion will move past the million plus dollars that she allegedly embezzled.
Anyhoo . . . Here's the message . . . Check it:
Dear KCUMB #######:
I wanted you to be aware that the Office of the U.S. Attorney of the Western District of Missouri announced that Karen Pletz, former president and chief executive officer of KCUMB, has been indicted by a federal grand jury. KCUMB will continue to cooperate fully with requests regarding these legal proceedings.
While legal matters remain ongoing, it is important to remember that the University is fully focused on our primary business of educating students in osteopathic medicine, the biomedical sciences and bioethics.
Our students continue to make great strides, as evidenced by the recent residency match for College of Osteopathic Medicine students. KCUMB students look to continue to make a difference in primary care, with 68 percent of those who matched electing for a primary-care residency and 38 percent matching to another discipline.
In addition, the College of Osteopathic Medicine has already filled next fall's incoming class of first-year osteopathic medical students, the earliest the University has ever accomplished this important task. The College of Osteopathic Medicine also has a substantial wait list of qualified candidates, ensuring that KCUMB remains a much sought after school for prospective osteopathic medical students.
With graduation approaching in mid-May, we continue to look forward to great accomplishments from our students. As always, we appreciate the support and dedication that our alumni demonstrate on behalf of our institution.
Best Regards,
H. Danny Weaver, D.O.
President and Chief Executive Officer
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences

Who was on the Board 4 years ago? They are the culprits!
ReplyDeleteHere, let me kill this goat and maybe your Cancer will go away.
ReplyDeleteThe Big House in Jeff City has a room for her.
ReplyDeleteShe was Chair of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Bunch of posers.
ReplyDeleteWell, guess who'd going to be next year's NEXT Chamber Chair? Yet ANOTHER "great, civic leader of a nonprofit healthcare organization"?
To wit: Frank Ellis, Bd. Chair of Swope. Frank Ellis was LITERALLY paid more than $1,000,000 last year alone. I kid you not. Even MORE of the same.
Ellis' business dealings need to be investigated by the IRS. Really. Maybe one of Tony's Awesome Tipsters can get busy?
Just the usual gang of KC swells who hire each other, give one another award dinners, and tell each other how wonderful they are!
ReplyDeleteThis is what mostly passes for "civic involenment" in this community.
Bush league all the way.
Who cares? Osteopathic "medicine" is what people do when they can't get into real medical school.
ReplyDeleteNice picture of the new President who was so stupid he allowed Pletz to hoodwink him....or so he says. Perhaps that is the line he is saying now that he got caught... remember he was the board chair during her major years of alleged theiving! The one who 'unwittingly' signed the payment vouchers she made for herself in the amount of >60K thee times a year. WHo is aiding and abetting whom? The baord put this joker in as President???
ReplyDeleteAnonymouse at 10;23. You are just stupid. Are you Danny WEaver?
ReplyDeleteword has it some board members were pletz' roomates or sorority sisters in college. and that another was the spouse of her high shcool or college friend/roommate or soroity sister. All board members were picked by Pletz; oh yes voted on by the boared but put up by pletz
ReplyDeleteHow about an indictment for her husband Jack Pletz? He has been stealing money from the state as a "contract" attorney for years. What a couple!!
ReplyDeleteKCUMB loves to embellish! Weaver is NO BETTER than Pletz!! Unless someone altered his words in his letter above, KCUMB is graduating 106% this year!!!(68% primary care plus 38% other disciplines). Those tax form errors: maybe they were just math 'issues.'
ReplyDeletePrison time, Prison time.
ReplyDeleteHow much of that money did that bitch use to tighten her fucked-up face?
ReplyDeletePeople like this are what's wrong with America. Greed on top of greed.
ReplyDeleteShe should have used some of that money for a face lift.
ReplyDeleteone ugly old woman
ReplyDeleteSaw her on a flight to Fort Lauderdale last Sunday. Was she connecting to Costa Rica?
ReplyDeleteThis has all been totally strange. Pletz's meteoric fall from grace, Dan Weaver's political moves against Pletz. All ugly, ugly, ugly and I'm tired of hearing about it!
ReplyDelete8:43 has it right. The so called "civic leaders" usually suffer from the same character flaws. They crave attention but have little to offer in the real world other than their ability to schmooze. That's why Chambers of Commerce do so much damage to cities. Those who run them are either fundamentaly ignorant of economics or simply there to milk the system.
ReplyDeleteThe Chamber is there to milk the system.
ReplyDeleteThat people like Karen Pletz and Frank Ellis end up being the Chamber's leaders.
Anyone know how to get the board members email addresses?
ReplyDeleteThe statement of purpose that these schools receive are extremely diverse, but solid letters of intent all share some of the same qualities. engineering personal statement
