TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY SUNDAY ANTI-E-TAX RALLY AND A CHANCE TO WIN SOME FREEDOM PAC CASH!!!

Tempting . . . Free food AND maybe a chance to win secret politico money . . . Who needs City Services?!?!

Check this rather BRILLIANT TKC TIPSTER E-MAIL forwarded my way:

Kansas City Tax Reform supporters,

Join us this Sunday, April 3rd, at city hall as we rally AGAINST the KC Earnings Tax. The KC Earnings Tax has not only stunted our city's growth, it has crippled our ability to attract and retain business.

Sunday should be a nice 75 degree day, so at 3:30 join us for some free ice cream, AND enter our GRAND PRIZE DRAWING to get your earnings tax paid for this year!! That's right, one lucky rally-goer will get his or her KC earnings tax paid for - up to a $1000 value!

The program will start at 4pm and our guest speakers will include:

-Woody Cozad
-Tracy Ward
-Mahlon Davis

This is your chance to take a stand for sustainable, practical tax reform in Kansas City! Your attendance would support the Kansas City residents and business owners that have to pay the earnings tax.

Thanks again for your continued support, see you on Sunday! Don't miss out!

  2. Just FYI Mahlon, on his candidate website, talks about sending "your tax deductible contributions" which in the realm of political fundraising is illegal.

  5. The only bribe they could dream up is free ice cream?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Maybe Google can buy West Edge and make it their new Ultra Fast Fiber National Headquarters.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Just tax beer and barbecue consumption that will quadruple what the E-Tax produced.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I should think that the e-tax payoff would be an illegal thing; wouldn't it count as "buying" a vote? Maybe there's some reason that this isn't the case, but it seems very questionable to me.

    ReplyDelete
  9. WOW talk about blatantly bribing voters.

Obviously these are the people you want having a say in the city... makes me sick. At least some politicos are still TRYING to pretend like they don't bribe people. These guys don't even fucking care.

    ReplyDelete
  10. WHOA.
First we don't know who is funding "Freedom PAC"
    Now, they are buying votes.
This is just shit you can't make up.

Thanks Roe, for making the jokes about you easier than ever.

Not to mention all the people who spend time in the city contributing to the services they use.
Keep the e-tax and the vital services it provides!!

    Vote NO E-Tax.

    ReplyDelete
  14. hum maybe we can get those cops all the anti-e-tax people seem to hate so much down there to check out this vote bribing business they are setting up. I wonder if you have to pledge to vote "no" to be eligible to win.

    ReplyDelete
  15. "Look at all the jobs we gained in the Northland".

    Are you on crack?

Have you been to the Metro North Mall lately?

    It's a Ghost Mall.

Look at the mini malls 75 percent of the businesses are closed.

    ReplyDelete
  16. 2:46 PM

The Cops are too busy at the Capital Grille bribing, wine and dining the legislature reps from Jefferson City to give a crap about Kansas City.

    ReplyDelete
  17. hahahaha whatever 2:43 you make it too easy by lying. you want to say the northland hasn't seen growth... lie. you want to say that the e-tax doesn't provide essential services... lie. If only you could come up with an argument that holds some water.

    ReplyDelete
  18. That has to be the worst lineup of speakers in the history of political rallies. Two people who don't make any money and don't understand the KC budget, and Woody Cozad, a rich old white guy speaking on behalf of rich old white guys. Way to put your best foot forward.

    ReplyDelete
  19. No. YOU lie ass hole go to the metro north mall it's a ghost town

    ReplyDelete
  20. So people are suggesting that E-Tax is just a personal piggy bank for our local politicians?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yep it a piggy bank for TIF, Lawyers, and the local politicians for political favors.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The Metro North Mall is your only source of reference? Try the facts. Also, cute name calling. Really shows your good side.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Like you gave Facts I gave you a place to physically go to and see for yourself. Where's your FACTS?
And name calling "rich old white guy" isn't name calling?

    ReplyDelete
  24. This reminds me of my 5th grade class president election. The winner brought candy for the whole class on election day. The loser did not.

    ReplyDelete
  25. the 5th grade winner had the e-tax to buy the candy for them

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hum or maybe the money goes to city services... one should already know they hide where their money comes from, they have lied about how much of the General Fund it is and how much will be cut each year...... At this point all you can do is laugh at their misjudgment and arrogance

    ReplyDelete
  27. The City Politicians are not looking out for Kansas City residents they are looking out for themselves with OUR tax dollars. It's at our expense.
    They gain on your dollar.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 2:56 shut up pussy.

    ReplyDelete
  29. 3:05 PM

    Lame response. Half effort try.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Well well Tony, looks like you are now attracting children to your blog. Before you know it they will be chanting "Sticks and Stones..." and "I'm rubber, you're glue..."

    ReplyDelete
  31. There's a real trifecta for ya- Woody, Ward, and Black Lurch.

    ReplyDelete
  32. The homeless shelters on the east side of downtown have this information and their clients are all excited.

    See you Sunday!!

    ReplyDelete
  33. Haha. A straight up fiscal reward for supporting their shoddy campaign against KC's best interest. Why don't they hold the rally at Jeff Roe's TIF office in Briar Cliff to further pursue the irony factor?!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Shit, I better vote No or Woody might not invite me to his birthday party!! And I heard his dad is renting out the whole SKATING RINK!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. With that clown car of speakers who would want to miss this!?

    ReplyDelete
  36. Just more and more buisness leaving Kansas City because of the E-tax . Google going to kck instead of KCMO because of the E-tax.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm Glad Mahlon and the rest of his crew, is against this bullshit ass Tax. I ask the people in the inner city why the hell do you want to keep the Tax you are not benefiting from it dumb asses. All the E-Tax is, is a 200 Million dollar blank check to let the criminals in City Hall do as they see fit. If you vote the E-Tax back in and we lose more jobs and more Tax payers then that is what you people in Kansas city deserve.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Vote no on the E-Tax, Go to Mahlon Davis web site, great web site. See your Tax dollars at work.

    mdavis4kc.wordpress.com

    ReplyDelete
  39. 4:23 I am in the inner city. Living, and working. Single Mom. 4 jobs. 4 JOBS! My money is tight and I stay afloat. I have no qualms paying the e-tax because I know that if it goes away, it will be replaced with taxes and fees that will amount to a lot more than 1% of my income. It will be unavoidable if we lose all of the revenue that comes in from the burbs. And it's not a blank check. It pays for services that I need intact while raising my boy in this city. I'm not a "dumbass".

    ReplyDelete
  40. I got it how bout a 1% Useless Eater Tax on all those lazy bums who complain about the E-Tax.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Like her or not Tracy Ward has done a fabulous job of branding herself.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Speakers? Sounds more like open mike night. No WORKING speakers available??

    ReplyDelete
  43. I'd like to ask 4:51 why I, a Kansas resident, KCMO business employee, have to pay a tax so you can have basic services? I pay for basic services on my side of the state line, my employer pays for services for the business I work for, I am a consumer of goods and services on the KCMO side but I have to pay for your trash? If I get a job on the Kansas side it's not like suddenly all of KCMO is going to roll up the few streets I drive on and declare them something you don't have to pay for maintenance anymore. As for police services, judging by all the piles of glass I see in the parking spots along the street after a big downtown event, it's seems we're only paying for policing after the fact. I'm not calling you a dumbass but I certainly think you should be asking a lot more hard questions of the leaders of the City on how badly they spend your hard earned money. I can't ask them that myself because of the whole taxation without representation thing happening.

    ReplyDelete
  44. 3/30/11 6:14 PM-dumbass it doesn't matter what you're paying for its and EARNING TAX & if your dumbass could find a work in KCK then why didn't you?

    ReplyDelete
  45. 3/30/11 4:51 PM-you are a liar you do not live no where near the inner city. Good try. You are right you're not a dumb ass you're a lying ass.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Anytime all the politicans and big business tell you that it is good for us it is something in wrong. VOTE NO FOR THE E TAX lets see if KCPD is layed off, I don't believe so. This is a bunch of bs.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Hi. I'm 4:51. I live in Pendelton Heights. I went to Bales Baptist Church at 12th and Bales for 15 years. My Grandpa, Mother, Father, 3 Aunts, and Grandma all graduated from Northeast Highschool. Two of those Aunts still live in Scarritt. Do you want my social security number and address? I'm not a liar, nor am I a dumbass. But you know what I am? A fucking voter in KCMO. You're not. I don't give two shits if you don't want to pay this tax. KCMO and I are going to cast our votes in favor of, fuck you jackass.

    ReplyDelete
  48. 3/30/11 8:30 PM-dumb ass what is your name and yes ss#? If your Grandma, aunts, mother and father are older than you they didn't go to northeast from 12th Bales they would have went to Manuel. You're such a liar.

    ReplyDelete
  49. 3/31/11 12:05 AM

Good Catch!! 8:30 you are a lair you would have had to go to Manuel High school.

But 3/31/11 12:05 AM you are a dumbass too, why the hell would you want somebody that is putting money back into our city not to come here that is just fucking stupid. Down with the E-Tax.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 3/31/11 3:47 AM-no you're the dumb ass I never stated whether I was for or against the E-Tax, dumb ass.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I think you all need to check out where all money is going to from your state, you pay taxes now most other states don't even use. You need to start an audit team, on every one serving in state, or holds public office, period. Where has all the money gone, to have to even come up with an introduction of yet another NEW tax. Poor management. Sad also, state departments who aren't doing their jobs they paid to do. You should get rid of dead weight that's useless. Start with useless personnel in Insurance Commission, and then keep going on.
Your nothing but door mats, and you allow people to be paid for doing nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Etax pays for services, that all citizens do not even receive to begin with, depending on where they reside or work. That means do a bill, where only the people who may receive the services, should be paying for the service to begin with. You want everyone in state to pay for something that only benefits people living and working in the city itself.
Moron who made the Etax to begin with - try introducing the E-tax to only the people who would need to one day receive the services.
