KMBZ Overlooks Darla And Their Audience

I probably shouldn't write this but Bottom Line Communications just broke some talk radio news that's really important to Kansas City news connoisseurs:

Chris Merrill will take over the 9 to 11 a.m. morning slot from nationally syndicated talker Glenn Beck at NewsRadio 980 KMBZ effective 3/14.

And here's a very obvious question/complaint . . .

WHY IS KMBZ PUTTING A BORING-ASS LAWYER ON THE AIR WHEN DARLA JAYE HAS A RABID FAN BASE THAT HAS FOLLOWED HER INTO THE EVENING?!!!

It's not so much self-interest . . . It's fun to talk to Darla but she is the driving force behind her show and I just have a good time arguing with her.

Still . . . What we've learned is that national reactionary talk like Glenn Beck isn't what keeps people tuning in and Merrill sounds like just another Cable TV Talking Head Clone.

Soooooo . . . As Conservatives realize that they can't govern without money and their ideas only work in 30 second-TV-commercials . . . It's strange to see KMBZ repeating the same mistake with another boring white guy.
