A follow-up report from Nadia Pflaum gives us even greater insight into life (and possible threats to it) at The Bannister Fed Complex. Check this hot passage from today's follow-up report:
Speaking to The Pitch, an expert "says he suspects that the Kansas City Plant's operators didn't have the appropriate tools to measure the doses of radiation that their workers may have been exposed to. He has made inquiries to see whether there were adequate shields in place, but he has yet to determine that answer."
The complaints continue and nuke components will soon be manufactured in Kansas City on an even larger scale . . . And if all this is too scary, it should be . . . On this one, TKC doesn't really have a solution but it does remind me of my favorite Jimmy Page side project The Firm and one of their hits "Radioactive" which was a nice afternoon listen.
Now you're talking, Nadia.
ReplyDeleteIt's not about whether BFC manufactured nuclear parts and lied about it. They didn't and they didn't.
But they DID possess radioactive sources- sources that could potentially cause exposures to humans.
So the discussion, as the HP accurately points out, is about the exposures and controls for the radioactive sources.
Good follow up.
Now keep going.
Find out which isotope of Pu BFC has.
ReplyDeleteThis will determine the type of radioactivity emitted (alpha, beta or gamma) and the attendant hazards to humans.
I'd be more interested in hearing about what kind of radiation levels KC has been receiving from Japan.
ReplyDeleteNot a peep so far I guess it missed us?
Tony why are you plugging The Pitch and Jimmy Page?
ReplyDeleteJimmy Page fucking rocks.
ReplyDeleteAnd that commenter is right, what about the radiation from Japan?
We're in the MIDDLE OF THE COUNTRY. You get more radiation at the dentist's office, you tards.
ReplyDeleteI worked at the Bannister Complex, Man I am so glad to have all you experts out there. I opened a container at Honeywell in 1998, took out a devise, sat it on my bench, installed the device, emptied the box, which was full of packing materials, only to find a label inside the box that said, RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL INSIDE. All you experts now tell me I'm safe, I'll take your word for it.
