She's the only person on the ballot that's ADAMANTLY on record against The E-Tax and her campaign is based on talking to people rather than running a media campaign.
The Star recently profiled the 6th District Candidates in a very crowded field . . . Which was nice.
But Ward took the time to let voters read her full responses.
It's nice Ms. Tracy Ward practices the kind of transparency that so many other City Council folks simply joke about during the campaign. Folks who discounted her early on are now taking her seriously and once again some of the most astute TKC READERS took notice of her promise early.
TEE, if Tracy wins in 4 years you'll be issuing a Yael-pology.
ReplyDeleteTracy is entitled to her views, a nice enough person, and I respect her for entering and persisting through this campaign for Council.
ReplyDeleteBut as a policymaker with an understanding of municipal government, public finance, or even neighborhood-level issues, she would be like a chef that only understands salt, pepper and cilantro.
That makes for a very limited menu that would grow tiresome rather quickly.
The E-Tax is toast.
ReplyDeleteWhere in the story is the "lead" part of the headline?
ReplyDeleteLetting voters read her full repsonses probably lost her more votes than it gained.
The sad fact that empty suit Mr. Cathy Jolly will probably be elected only goes to show how thin this candidate pool is.
Ms. Ward's biggest detractor is Tony and this site!
ReplyDeleteEverybody loves Bukkake!
ReplyDelete"Tracy Ward Leads" ??
ReplyDeleteGet off the drugs, Tee. You and Rizzo have been spending way too much time on the pipe.
Bukkake Ward for Mayor!!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's see 6:12 what is an understangind of municipal government, public finance, or even neighborhood-level issues?
ReplyDeleteIts mostly giving away money to developers, overpaying the highly unionized portion of the city work force, maximizing the value of downtown real estate and subsidizing conventions so a few hotels and restauarnts thrive. Unfortunately that's the "understanding" of city government that every city council candidate has.

ReplyDeleteAt least Tracy has the guts to stand up for equal rights for all citizens, where "empty suits" like Scott Taylor cannot find the backbone to do the same.
ReplyDeleteTracy has some big money backers.
ReplyDelete9:33, I don't think the ramen noodle crowd is "big money".
ReplyDelete5% of the vote.
ReplyDeleteStinky pinky!
ReplyDeleteShe loves getting a steaming hot face full of sticky democracy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't Photoshop great. Excellent touchup on her photo
ReplyDeleteA tea partier pushing the corporate line for big business, just like everyone else crowing for "Liberty".
ReplyDeleteIt is so sad to see ignorant slaves begging for more abuse. Pathetic.
ReplyDeleteTracy Ward may not be perfect but she is light years ahead of anyone else on the ballot. It is obvious that she has struck more than one nerve among the denizens of the establishment as they are panicking by lashing out at her with their vitriol.
Off topic, but her hair is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is awesome if she was applying to work at Sonic. That's about it.
