Opinions and tips aside . . . TKC READERS told the Mayor that snow removal sucked and by the end of the day he was scrambling to spin yet another story of FAIL.
What would Burke or James do about snow?
Residential streets should be cleared by tonight, mayor says
streets in my county neihborhood have been dry most of the day. They were doin em last night, even as people were getting home from work.
ReplyDeleteYa gotta get em before cars pack em down!
KC is simply a city that doesn't work.
Glad to hear that not only is Burke going to get the streets done faster, he's also going to do all the sidewalks. Can't wait to see him keep that promist. Really???
ReplyDeleteThis is stupid. The main streets are totally clear and the residential streets are fine. Get a grip.
ReplyDeleteNo problem here. Nice and clear.
ReplyDeleteNext guy can just borrow money we don't have (like the past crew) and we'll be plowed.
ReplyDeleteThen tax payers can make the interest payments.
Actually Funk said we were in deep shit nine even before he became Mayor his only mistake was thinking the herds would rally behind him during tough times.
referring to people has herds was the biggest problem for Funk and all his supporters.
ReplyDeleteThe snow plowing failure was the City Manager's fault, not the Mayor. Remember, Schulte is the former budget director, so he saw an opportunity to save money by holding off plowing the residential streets until daytime. This allowed him to use staff on regular time rather than OT. By tomorrow, the sun will have melted it all anyway.
ReplyDeleteIn the northland streets were plowed by morning commute. During the last snow were not plowed for days.
ReplyDeleteOh what will we bitch about this summer when Funk is gone and there is no snow?
ReplyDelete11:21-goose poop. We'll complain about goose poop.
