TKC MUST NOW BUST OUT KANSAS CITY 4TH DISTRICT AT-LARGE FACT CHECKING!!!

If only Kansas City politicos were as interesting as September Carrino.

However, TKC will not take the blame for politicos running around like chickens with their heads cut off.

Allow me to explain the sitch:

TKC posted a QUESTION about the 4th District going negative.

It wasn't a statement, treatise or a stone tablet I took down from the mountain top.

A great many people flew off the handle . . .

So I guess YOU can call this a clarification while it's really just more of the same story.

4TH DISTRICT CANDIDATE JOHN CRAWFORD'S CAMP COMPLETELY DENIES ANY CLAIM THAT THE THEY ARE WORKING WITH RGC OR GOING NEGATIVE!!!

And here's where some clarification is in order . . .

We're talking about Kevin Garner. He used to work with RGC (Not RGS). And the TIP about going negative came from a public statement that Garner made at a Four Freedoms meeting that WAS HEARD BY A TON OF PEOPLE!!!

The statement that I copied and pasted should be clarified in only one regard, they were mistaken about the association of Kevin Garner who was recently with RGC and now works with the Crawford campaign (confirmed by the Crawford camp). . . Subsequently Garner is slapfighting with RGC . . . In DEFENSE OF TKC TIPSTERS . . . This micro-move from a low-level agency to a fledgling campaign JUST happened and isn't of much consequence to anybody but a few people competing in this race. However, now that we're getting into detail, TKC wants to thank EVERYBODY for making boring personnel details part of the discussion.

TKC Perspective: Panicked readers might want to note that negative campaigning isn't a sin. It's a political tactic that's effective that the Crawford camp might want to think about now that they are trailing. If anything, this comment TKC TIPSTERS have always attributed to the Crawford Camp shows that they're thinking strategically about their race.

PERSPECTIVE FROM KEVIN GARNER: "My goal is to never make headlines and have done a good job of avoiding it thus far. My comments at a Four Freedoms were not a discussion of the Crawford campaign strategy, rather we were discussing why I am supporting/believe others should support Crawford (the MidTown project is an example of that) and was only heard by two of the six person meeting."

MORE TO THE POINT . . .

TKC TIPSTERS stand by their statement that the Crawford Camp is going negative . . . All of the political tap dancing and hand-wringing did was help draw somebody's name (a political operative) into the conversation and get even more specific about the negative tone that this campaign might be taking.

So . . . Another point of my post is affirmed as well. This 4th District At-Large race might get even more interesting and the only thing TKC can promise is that I'll be even more focused on lady photos . . . And blogging the details as I see them . . . Which are more interesting than the snoozefest in mainstream media.

Yell at me in the comments . . .

  1. They'll have to go negative to have a chance of beating Glover... and going negative on him seems somewhat wrong, considering all that he's been through and the fact that he does a good job of representing central and eastern midtown parts of the district, whereas Crawford is more of a west side guy. As far as the RGC vs Garner stuff, I don't see any real point in the correction... yet if I was Garner, I wouldn't want to be associated with RGC anymore either. He's finally on a possibly winning campaign and making new inroads.

  2. Agree with 3:14. This race is between the guy who gave us Costco and Home Depot and...what was that doofus' name again?

  3. Damn it Tony! I was looking forward to a good slapfight.

  4. Good for Kevin Garner. He's on a winning campaign team and leaving RGC is like leaving the Royals; you start winning and they keep losing.

  5. Crawford a winning campaign team? lol Glover got 50% more votes than Crawford with a late-starting campaign.

The Crawford people are mean-spirited and desperate.

  6. who's John Crawford? He's a TIF adminstrator. NICE.

  9. Another big hoo hah over yet another "consultant" no one's ever heard of. Maybe one of these days, the political class in KCMO will beging paying more attention to the CANDIDATES who are running than all these othr bozos.
They'll probably start doing that right after the e-tax fails, which will be just a little bit too late.

  10. So Jim Glover had a rough time. Guess we owe him a council seat. Typical dumshit KC thinking.

  11. What does unsolicited bulk e-mail have to do with any of this?

    ReplyDelete
  12. The Crawford campaign sends out the same type of boring emails unrelated to the recipient all the time and multiple copies of the same email in the same day. I don't know if it's unsolicited, but it is BULK..

  13. This is a relief because hiring republicans Danny Powell and Chris Benjamin is campaign suicide. According to ex-clients of theirs, they will charge you to lose your ass and if you fire them they will go onto tkc and attack you personally and professionally. They also leak your information and campaign strategy to blogs and other campaigns.

  14. Check the MEC (Missouri Ethics Commission) website and look at Crawford's campaign expenditures. NO CONSULTING FIRM.

  15. Shame on Crawford for his robo-calls calling Annie Presley a racist!

    ReplyDelete
  16. hey 4:57 - MEC reports only cover up thru Feb 10th.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Man everybody hates robo-calls. Why does Crawford use them as his main campaign tactic?

Probably why he lost so badly to Glover.

Calling Annie Presley a racist in a robocall doesn't convince anyone.

  18. I love that the campaign proposal they sent campaigns lists that they have 35 years of campaign experience.

    How sad.

    ReplyDelete
  19. If Kevin Hennosy and RGC were involved in two opposite campaigns in the same election, both would somehow find a way to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  20. LMAO @ 5:18pm

  21. The 4th District race and these blog comments are a perfect illustration as to why this town is so fucked.

    ReplyDelete
  22. All anyone has to to is remember to Glover's last term as a City Councilperson. He was crappy! He didn't return phone calls, was unresponsive, listened only to his self-serving groupies. Why would anyone want him back>
