TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! AFTER KANSAS CITY ELECTION FAIL MAYOR FUNKY NO LONGER SEEMS CONCERNED WITH SNOW REMOVAL!!!

Here's a quick little factoid that should cause AWESOME TKC READERS to lose what little hope they have left in local government.

In the last snowstorm before the Primary Election we simply couldn't deny that there was a significantly improved effort to clean Kansas City streets. This was Mayor Funky's last ploy to get elected and it was lame, desperate and sad but at least there was a tiny benefit to residents.

Sadly, KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS are noticing . . .

NOW THAT MAYOR FUNKY IS A LAME DUCK THERE HASN'T BEEN ANY SIGNIFICANT SNOW REMOVEAL EFFORT AND LOCAL STREETS ARE ONCE AGAIN A DANGEROUS MESS!!!

This is yet another failed legacy of Kansas City's Funky years and I just wanted to document this fact so that people wouldn't forget a Mayor who claimed to stand on principal but really didn't care about much more than his career.

  2. Give it a rest. The last storm was an epic event and this one is the run of the mill. Did you see what the last clean up cost?

Hermann took credit for snow removal too but I notice you didn't include her in your conspiracy theory.

  3. Fire Troy Schulte.

  4. Hey, ONE good effort at decent snow removal in four years is not all that bad.
In fact, it IS an improvement over what residents in KCMO are used to!

  5. Russ, Melba, Jan, Cindy, John?

You, still have another election next month.

MAKE TROY CLEAR THE GOD DAMN STREETS!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Stay on him, Tee.

Funky wanted the credit from earlier snow removal efforts, so he also gets the responsibility for those now.

Show us what you got, Funky.

You get up early this morning to get down to the EOC to direct traffic?

  7. There are downtown hotels to build, lobbyists to hire, more TIFs to dole out, employee pension funds to sweeten - who has time to clear streets?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Have your tears iced up mommys sidewalk Tony?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Dude, they only plow the side streets between 6am and 6pm. Get a fucking life.

  11. You can't blame the mayor for snow removal problems. He is not the city manager.

  12. Ha,ha,ha!!!! Funky says EAT IT BITCHES!!! How does it feel to "F'd" in the "A"???? hahahaha...ain't my problem now!

  13. "Heavy snow forces major road closures
    Full story: KansasCity.com

Heavy snowfall and deteriorating road conditions have forced authorities to temporarily shut down parts of Interstates 29, 35, 70 and 635.A series of tractor-trailers were stuck on I-35 heading north into the downtown loop, because they couldn’t get traction heading up a hill."

THESE ARE STATE ROADS, NOT CITY OF KCMO PROBLEM, IDIOT

  14. 8:29 is correct about MoDOT roads and not Mayor Funky.

Gee Tony, you really are a douchebag

    ReplyDelete
  15. No snow removal without a political incentive. What a surprise! Doesn't anyone remember 2009?

    ReplyDelete
  16. What we really need is a Latino Mayor and City Manager since the roads south of the boarder are always 100% cleared of snow.

    ReplyDelete
  17. If you think snow plowing sucks now, wait until you vote out the E-Tax. Roads will be snow packed for months.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Skewing the facts, TKC must be a liberal democrat.

  19. my street was plowed in the middle of the night and it is a side street, why don't you get your stories right

  21. Get Your Shovels Running

    Yip

  22. Looks to me as if problems reflect poorly on the acting city manager and the head of the street department.
Surely they don't have to be pushed constantly by the mayor to do their jobs, do they?

But, for the record, this wasn't much of a snow, except maybe in the far northern part of the city, and the streets don't seem too bad.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The City Manager is to blame in this. Is his lazy ass on vacation?

    ReplyDelete
  24. Didn't I just read that the Hispanic population is up 70% or more? Let's just give them all shovels and $5. The streets will be clear within the hour.

    ReplyDelete
  25. City employees are the most lazy worthless sacks of shit around. I was for the CBA in Wisconsin, until I thought about our lay about City staff. Now I want the Koch brothers to bust up City Hall workers.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It's all Mike Sanders' fault. I just know it is.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I was bored last night and was listening to all the accidents around downtown on my police scanner. At one point after 169 Hwy, I-35, and part of I-70 were shut down, officers were asking for salt and sand trucks to help out so that the highways could open back up. The dispatchers said that they called public works and public works said they are not taking any of their trucks off of their normal routes to help out with emergency areas and that they would have to either open the highways back up and deal with more stuck semis and cars, wrecks, or just keep the highways closed because public works was not going to help out anywhere.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Public Works plows KCMO streets, not MoDOT streets.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Do any of you fools relize it is the City's job to clear the city streets, no exception no excuse. Plus I bet 1/2 you winnie bitches on here have not even cleaned your own sidewalks, which is yours to so not the city's

    ReplyDelete
  30. Winnie Bitches?
    Fucking retard.

  31. Learn to spell, please.

  32. All the streets in my neighborhood were cleared when I left this morning. Tony, maybe they just save your street for last out of spite since you bitch incessantly.

    ReplyDelete
  33. 12:16 - It's not the city's responsibility to do MODOT'S job. Can you imagine the outcry if the city plows and salt trucks ignored the local streets because they were too busy doing someone else's job? The city trucks are already stretched too thin as it is.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Lern to spell, retaryd

    ReplyDelete
  35. 9:29 & 12:29: You must live in JOCO. I'm in Waldo, and my street's a sheet of ice. I guess it's payback for not voting pro-funky.

    ReplyDelete
  36. 12:29 here, I live in KCMO, on a residential side road. Every street in my neighborhood was clear as was every road on my way to work.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Of course they were Gloria. Good luck with that congressional run.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Skaggs thinks Troy does a nice job clearing the snow off the streets. Funny, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  39. 12:31 are you just a moron, I said it's the city job to clear the city streets dimwit

    ReplyDelete
  40. Actually, the city is responsible for a number of streets, and Parks and Rec are responsible for clearing the boulevards.
