The Star Says Ed Pace Is A Felon

Last election The Star had a policy of not going with consultant dirt close to election, thankfully they're not going to pretend to take the high-ground anymore and look to be just as biased as everybody else.

So here's what they came up with today:

"Edward Pace, a candidate for the Kansas City Council's 4th district at-large seat, appears to have pleaded guilty to a felony assault charge in 1997. Missouri law prohibits felons or former felons from qualifying "as a candidate for elective public office in the state of Missouri." But a state official said this week the law, Sec. 115.350, does not apply to any candidates for city office, including Pace. State correctional and court records show an Edward B. Pace spent time in prison and on probation after the 1997 guilty plea."

It's a common name and I'm screen capping this because there's a chance it's wrong . . .

Still, it's nice to watch The Star scrape around the bottom of the barrel as their jobs are cut.

DEVELOPING . . .

  2. He will be ok, just keep your head up and keep running. This happened in 1997, that was 13 years ago he does not look that old he had to be a teenager. The star suck for this one, going that far back to look up some stuff like that.

  3. Geez Tony, now ur double checking for accuracy with the use of common names. That's a first. Don't want 2 many people questioning your stellar record and "journalistic integrity."

  5. What is with this town? If you have a prior conviction you can't be a politician, but if the city spends thousands checking your background you are cleared to dine with the police chief, at the Plaza, on the taxpayer's nickel? Clear as mud!
