A rather classy Kansas City photo of both Mayoral Candidates in support of the E-Tax.
Grabbed this from Mike Burke's FB account and it's a really good shot of a better standard of choices for Kansas City in this Mayoral Race now that Mayor Funky is gone.
Well if you read the newspapers they take your E-Tax money and go out and wine and dine on your dime. While the water mains, sewer system, potholes don't get repaired.
It doesn't mean much to be mayor of KCMO now! It's the laughing stock of the entire metro area and the state of Missouri!! Why do you think no other loccal counties or cities want to have anything to do with it? Which is really too bad, because there are lots of things that the metro should work together on, but the way KCMO operates, not a chance!
Hey, Dream chaser. If there isn't some sort of "user's fee" surcharge on tickets to Arrowhead and Kauffman for the ongoing maintenance of those facilities, there should be.
What could be more fair than the people using those places paying for the upkeep?
And "owning" a sports stadium is just a liability - not an asset. If you own something you presumably derive profit or pleasure from it. With a stadium you just have a debt you must continue to pay.
Do what my family has to do....live on what we make. We have a budget and do not take on debt. Let's encourage business to move into KCMO. Tough years are ahead until we get this right. Sad to see.
Let the circle jerk begin.

Reading Tony's Tax
We need to keep the e-tax. glad to see both of them understand that it won't mean much to be mayor if 40% of the general fund goes away.

ReplyDeleteIf the e-tax goes away...
ReplyDeleteEVERYONE WILL DIE!!!!!1!!11!!
Passing the E-Tax for City Hall is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
ReplyDeleteKansas City politicians are the only ones who support the vote for the
ReplyDeleteE-Tax and then can escape the obligation to pay it.
What does that mean. If you live or work in KC then you pay the Etax. Plain and simple.

Arrowhead and Kauffman are Jackson County owned and run, not City.
ReplyDeleteJust KC supported for a few million each year.
