Did Terrance Nash Deserve An "F" From Airick L. West And Kansas Citians United for Educational Achievement?!?!?
Did Terrance Nash Deserve An "F" From Airick L. West And Kansas Citians United for Educational Achievement?!?!?
6th District Council Candidate Terrence Nash is a good dude and he's facing an uphill battle against STRONGLY UNION-BACKED INCUMBENT JOHN SHARP . . . Councilman Sharp has a TON OF CASH for an In-District Race along with a great many connections.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nash hasn't been able to pick up a lot of steam despite paying some beleaguered consultants. Anyhoo . . . At a somewhat recent education forum (that he should have skipped) Mr. Nash received a failing grade from the participants of the event put on by Kansas City School Board President West and his group . . . There's still some grumbling over this fact and it's definitely not helping Nash who could make more political gain by simply "Walking The District," which is what I hear he's doing.
Anyhoo . . . The blogger isn't doing Mr. Nash any favors by lamenting the bad grade and the exposé of one of MORE THAN ONE HUNDRED forums/meetings/debates/political dance parties this election cycle is interesting but maybe not so relevant to the outcome of the 6th District race.
And for the record, the joke in this post is the KCMSD and its supporters noting the FAIL of anyone but themselves.

Sharp is Union "backed"? Try Union "owned". Grab ankle, Johnnie.
ReplyDeleteWhy do all these candidates think they need "consultants" to campaign in-district for the KCMO city council? Nash should have been walking the district from the beginning and , if he had any good serious ideas, which he does not, he might have had a chance.
ReplyDeleteBut Mr. Nash's views make Tracy Ward's look progressive. He went to the education meeting, had nothing well-informed or supportive to say about public education, and got a poor grade by the group.
If he thinks this doesn't help his candidacy, he needs to review what, if anything, his ideas have to do with the residents in the 6th District. Nothing!
It would be great to get rid of Sharp, but you can't beat something with nothing.
Nash is a neighborhood crank, that's where he needs to stay.
ReplyDeleteSharp. King of Denton.
ReplyDeleteNash is a neighborhood advocate. At least he cares about the neighborhoods. Sharp only cares about Sharp. Have you seen his goals for another term? Lots of stuff to help his union buddies but still missing the mark on what the neighborhoods need.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting that the candidate responses aren't posted online like after most screenings. Some people have asked for them, but haven't received anything. Seems like they either don't want anyone to know what's actually in them or it's taking a while to change the answers.
ReplyDeleteSharp needs a lot of money so he can buy himself the election. Those he can't buy, he'll intimidate.
ReplyDeleteThe forum was cancelled KC United sent questions that only concerned the KC school district. Why would anyone that would be representing the 6th district put KC school district ahead of Hickman Mills and Center that are the main school districts in the 6th district.
ReplyDeleteNash is not concerned about his neighborhood. He has proven that time and again. He is an anti-everything nag that is concerned only about himself. He won't win because he has nothing positive to offer. Same goes for pink hair. Has nothing to do with who they are running against, only with their lack of anything positive.
ReplyDeletewww.nash4kc.com maybe you need to read the issues, John. Look at your neighborhhod John.
ReplyDeleteLadies and Gentlemen ... I present to you The Truest Words Ever Spoken:
ReplyDelete"And for the record, the joke in this post is the KCMSD and its supporters noting the FAIL of anyone but themselves."
I hereby nominate Tony Botello for the Pulitzer Prize!

@6:24 a.m.
ReplyDeleteWrong. The meeting was cancelled and questions were emailed and the recipients were given less than 24 hours to respond. The questions were all about what the candidates would do for KCSD. The City Council can't do anything for KCSD. Education is a State and School Board responsibility. End of Story. Sharp just pandered to them as he does to anyone until after the election is over when he goes back to servicing the unions and other special interests who are giving him thousands of dollars for this election. Nash's answer to the question was plain and simple truth and KCSD can't handle the truth.

ReplyDeleteNash has plenty of positive ideas, but when you are faced with the level of corruption that we have in KCMO, just standing up and saying NO might be the most positive thing for our future. Sure would save us millions of dollars.
No doubt it will deprive Sharp's special interests of millions of dollars in slush fund money.
