ReplyDeleteIt seems to me Burke is running for job creation and I'm not afraid of a TIF if it means another two-year project for my workers. It doesn't have to be 20 of them, just a handful of good ones. Two guys I work with in construction did some research on our last 11 years worth of work. It is surprising how many of those projects Burke was involved with. Does anyone have hard numbers on the number of jobs Burke has helped create versus those James has helped create? Just curious. It has people talking in my world. BTW, retarded vid. We deserve straight talk, not B.S. Of course, it is on Tony's.

ReplyDeleteBurke has created jobs for his firm with lucrative city contracts. James has collected big judgments from suing the city. I'll take James. At least his work suing the city is straightforward and you know where he's coming from. Burke has no integrity.
ReplyDeleteI want to see the video of James chasing ambulances and what the cases were. I have heard some pretty crazy stories about the kind of frivolous lawsuits he's brought. But hey, that's his job and he sleeps at night. Likewise, Burke's digs are pretty nice too and he has fed at the proverbial "Trough" for decades and the voters said ok. The Star will pull their dual endorsement and go with Burke (Psst They got a TIF from Barnes too) They are two peas in a pod. How to choose, how to choose? Rowland and Funk are going to look better to us when this is all over.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a planted video by Burke. Everyone knows Sly does not embrace negativity. Sly is a different type of individual. Mike is a good guy but everyone knows there are two Mike Burke's, the one that throws the rock and hides his hands and the one that uses you until he gets what he wants and walks away. Go Burke Video Distraction. Burke's team did this.

The sewer is in shambles, my water stanks and my last tire just blew out in a pothole. Whatta we gunna do? Burke-"I am here to save the day". "I'm going to build the Burke Towers Convention Hotel- (Take that Barnes and shouldda been Barnes Arena). Then we will all be rich beyond our wildest dreams and the City will finally be a First Class City.
Fast forward- Dear City Employees and Citizens of KCMO. Due to the $30M shortfall in paying the debt service on the "Tower" Hotel (Burke drops his name when referring to it now) We will be laying off what's left of our service providers and no longer providing basic services except assistance with paying your taxes to us. If it wasn't for the failure of Barnes Arena and P&L District my hotel would have been just fine.
