He made it past the primary and now I hope he earns a bit more respect from media and political denizens.
Brandon Ellington has worked tirelessly in his campaign for the 3rd District At-Large and he deserves an honest debate and discussion with incumbent Melba Curls.
This is Mr. Ellington's second attempt at The City Council and his first trip to the General Election. He has a reputation for community service and activism and his focus on local government transparency and building coalitions speaks to a great deal of frustration with some City Council incumbents.
Great. Another representative that never held a real job.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Brandon!
ReplyDelete6:20 even your stupid untruth writing ass can't spoil this victory. Brandon ran a super campaign, made the connections with the community and this what has been missing. Don't hate congradulate Brandon Ellington you worked hard for tbis win.
ReplyDelete757 Thanks Roach... learn to spell!
ReplyDeleteEllington definitely understands his community and is working to make things better. I look forward to his continued success!
ReplyDelete2/23/11 7:57 AM-I'm not Roach but I know who you are, LOL! You on the other hand ran a terrible campaign! Way to go Brandon :)

ReplyDeleteCONGRATS BRANDON
"WE HAVE TO DO BETTER"
I'M WITH YOU ALL THE WAY!!!!!
Way to go Brandon, keep up the good work, we do hear you!
ReplyDeleteAlright Kim, saw you on the polls.
ReplyDeleteI've had my fill of self-appointed "activists."
ReplyDelete2/23/11 5:00 PM-cup runneth over. Brandon is not self appointed.
ReplyDeleteI am a Northlander and I voted for Brandon and will again. Since people on this blog like to disparage white people up north by saying we won't vote for black's, I'll even tell you why. Ellington is not another Freedom institutional candidate that will do nothing good for their community. Melba seems nice but effective she is not. I don't know one single thing she has ever done while in office.
ReplyDeleteMy tax dollars are more likely to go into the urban core than yours are to go into my neighborhood so I think I have a right to speak up. I'm about to say what most of the people I know say on a regular basis about the urban core.
You deserve better than you have gotten in terms of representation. Having said that, you keep electing the same type people who always fail you. That's your fault. It's my business because every time you elect worthless leaders you cost me more money. I am happy to do the Christian thing and support you getting more assistance and funding but unless you help yourself, I am not willing to do it forever.
We thought you had something in Troy Nash. The North supported him 100%. He failed because he got too greedy and it destroyed his opportunity to run again. I am also told he took credit for other people's efforts more than doing anything but promote himself. I hope Ellington does not turn out like Troy.
I am 100% behind efforts to assist the urban core. Are you going to make the same committment?
Start by electing Brandon and Pastor Brooks not Melba and Ken Baccus, proven failures.
yes, I was at the voting polls working for Brandon, and Im sure you will see me In March!!! Brandon has my support 110%, I know Brandon is for the citizens and he wants to do better things in this city!!! "we have to do better" I want to thank everyone who supported Brandon by voting for him......................................................................................,Lets not forget MARCH election!!! BRANDON ELLINGTON 3RD DISTRICT AT-LARGE SEAT!!!
ReplyDeleteNash also failed because of his campaign team. They suck.
ReplyDeleteWhat ru trying 2 say??
ReplyDeleteFYI his team did what they was supposed to do he is in the gereral!!!!!!!!!!yeah now what!!!!
I voted for Brandon Ellington and I will again.
