In a display of typical Kansas City Star elitism . . . KC Star columnist Yael T. Abouhalkah attempts to discount the 6th District At-Large Candidacy of Tracy Ward.
Abouhalkah goes so far as to include a hyperlink which ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS in his online writing.
THREE things to remember . . .
Tracy Ward is the ONLY HIGH PROFILE CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE WHO DISAGREES WHO AGREES THAT THE E-TAX SHOULD BE REPEALED.
Abouhalkah agrees with just about every tax increase that comes his way.
Most importantly . . .
LAST ELECTION CYCLE YAEL T. ABOUHALKAH TOUTED MAYOR FUNKY'S CANDIDACY AND THEN REVERESED HIS OWN ENDORSEMENT!!!
There's persistent illusion that The Kansas City Star columnists are somehow experts in local politics despite the fact that their record and predictions usually turn out horribly wrong . . . For the most part, I write up my opinion and expect readers to decide for themselves.
What needs to be noted here is that the political elite like Steve Glorioso and Yael Abouhalkah have taken ample time to discount Tracy Ward using fairly sexist and stereotypical characterizations . . . Whereas there is nobody who can claim that TKC doesn't pay a lot of attention to the aspirations and interests of white women. Natch.
He's right..
ReplyDeleteis Yael a nigger, sand nigger, or jewboy faggot????
ReplyDeleteWas he right about Funk?
ReplyDeleteYAEL T. ABOUHALKAH was the same idiot that just loved the funk. The E-tax is toast. Yael has been wrong on so many issues I can't believe anyone is listening to him.
ReplyDeleteA raise for the golden ghetto, thanks to Missouri voters. The day is coming when you will have to make up the money flowing in from all the burbs, Kansas and Missouri. I love the mentality that even considers this to be a positive in any way for Missouri, and when the other side starts in on how the burbs pay the way for KC cops and fire....the resentment will go up and end with a Federal lawsuit on taxation w/o representation.
ReplyDeleteTony you were a Funky fan back in 2007. You changed your opinion when you learned about the Co-Mayor's crazy side. You can't blame The Star. Mark Funkhouser is a crazy person and the people did NOT know it. Everyone will know better next time. This nightmare will soon be over.
ReplyDeleteDear TKC, the sun will soon shine clean and clear in KCMO. Grand day Co-Mayor and family kicked out.
Go Tracy Go!!!
ReplyDeleteNow that Yael the skinny douchebag has opined against Tracy, I hate that motherfucker and the Star so much that I am going to vote for Miss Tracy. Tracy, dammit - tone down the pink hair. You can do a softer shade, be more credible, and still be "pink."

ReplyDelete"taxation w/o representation?" gee, I cross over into Kansas and purchase goods from stores and get taxed. I didn't vote on that tax. I chose to go to Kansas and shop. You chose to come work in Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteWhere you work is different than where you choose to shop, and an income tax for the priviledge of driving on KC streets, please, and the protection of the police, wait when they see Joco plates the cash register rings, and the other amenities........trying to think of what KC provides in the way of amenities.....maybe murder capitol, or least educated citizens, or most property crimes. Yeah the predatory e tax is very effectively used by those you chose to elect.
ReplyDeleteTony she is a whack job who is every bit as weird as Gloria?
ReplyDeleteDO NOT DO THIS TO THE CITY JUST BECAUSE YOU LIKE TO RUN THE LIGHT AT 39th AND SW TRAFFICWAY.
Vote for the Bukkake Queen -- Experience KC Needs -- Vote Tracy!
ReplyDelete5:40 FTW
ReplyDeleteIf Glorioso doesn't like her, she must have some good qualities.
ReplyDeleteI used to like Yael Abouhawaka but I con't anymore!
ReplyDeleteI live in KCMO but work in Kansas. I have to pay Kansas income tax, yet I don't get to vote in Kansas.
ReplyDeleteNo taxation without representation!!! Repeal the Kansas income tax NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The E-tax has really paid off in Kansas City why just look at our streets, water system, murder rate, school closings, etc.
ReplyDeleteVote No E-Tax..... no more wasted slush funds.
Agreed. Let's do away with all the taxes. Let's strip the city down to a wasteland. I'm for it. No more red light cameras, speeding tickets, or any of that. The sane can move to the suburbs where life is good. If those who are left want services, MAKE THEM PAY FOR IT THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYael T. Abouhalkah is like the Paul Krugman of the KC Red Star. He makes me sorry I ever learned to read. Nary a peep is uttered by establishment cheerleaders like him that Ward also thinks that a few hours a week for a $67,000/yr City Council job is ludicrous and that she is the only candidate who promises to take a pay cut. Forgetting the fact that she is somehow guilty by her association with Catherine Bleish, she seems to be one of the few candidates with the understanding that the Council is packed with off-Ward-Parkway socialites and urban-core activists who are completely unconcerned with the wasteful nature of their TIF'd and bonded pet projects. If that makes her views 'simplistic' or 'unrefined', it's only because a freaking child of 8 with an allowance could understand budgeting better than the 'sophisticates' who can't wait to blow other people's money.
