TKC FIGHTS SPAM!!!

Close readers might have noticed that this blog has been under spam attack as of late.

The Spam started in support of Will Royster's ongoing and losing campaign.

Now it has devolved into nasty attacks against your (least) favorite local blogger.

I've always maintained that freedom of expression is the most important right we have in this nation so I'm gonna do my best to defend this open forum.

It's somewhat ironic that the same folks in support of a campaign attempting to thug its way into the State House is also attempting to hijack this forum from readers who have a lot of OTHER things to discuss besides Will Royster's egomaniacal vendetta and his paid cronies who are following him over the edge of reason.

Again, this bully tactic from Royster-loving cretins gives a real insight into the character of the few people who support him. The entire state of Missouri is lucky the guy lost in the primary and that John Rizzo won by a landslide in the General Election.

Still, this isn't the first series of SPAM attacks this blog has endured. Thankfully, I have better technology to fight off SPAM then even a few short months ago.

This post is just an attempt to document a SPAM attack that started in support of Will Royster and has now turned into a really nasty attack against TKC and an attempt to stifle the voices of this blog's readers.

  4. Tony, if the readers have a lot of other things to talk about, then why are the vast majority of your posts about Royster? This is your fault moron.

  5. Tony, remember when someone is trying to attack your site, you are obviously hitting quite a nerve with your growing readers. Keep up the good work!

  7. Tony, if YOU didn't ENDLESSLY report the trivial crap about an obscure nothing legislative seat that no one cares about, maybe the rest of the crazies would go away.
There would seem to be way more interesting and important issues and stories than the latest baloney from Rizzo, Royster, and Moreno.

A reputed underboss of the Kansas City organized crime family and five of his employees were arrested Thursday and charged with running an illegal gambling operation.

Peter J. Simone and his associates allegedly placed video poker and slot machines in more than two dozen bars and restaurants.

Gamblers fed coins and currency into the machines and collected winnings from bartenders, a federal indictment contends.

The men allegedly laundered $50,000 in gambling profits by mingling them with legitimate profits from their vending machine company, Be Amused Vending and Amusement Co., 1923 E. Truman Road.

Those arrested Thursday: Simone, 46, is chief executive officer of the vending company and a convicted mob bookmaker. His wife, Karla, is a co-owner of Be Amused.

The FBI told Congress three years ago that Simone was an underboss, or capo, in the Kansas City mob. Authorities believe Simone runs the organized crime outfit's day-to-day operations.

James J. Moretina , 42, is a Be Amused co-owner. He is a former business agent for Local 41 of the Teamsters Union and the son of convicted mob leader Charles Moretina .

John Termini, 51, and Charles Sellaro, 44, collect money from vending machines.

Ronald Parker, 33, repairs machines for Be Amused.

Samuel Cessor, 50, is a general laborer for the company.

Federal prosecutors charged each man with operating an illegal gambling business. All but Cessor also face charges of money laundering.

"This case is important because it strikes at a source of illegally generated cash which otherwise would evade detection," said Jean Paul Bradshaw II, U.S. attorney for western Missouri.

"This illegal cash is the lifeblood of criminal organizations. " The indictments strike at what investigators believe to be the mob's most lucrative operation, gambling. It also extends a string of blows against reputed mobsters and their associates.

A federal grand jury indicted reputed top mob boss Anthony "Tony Ripe" Civella and four associates in May on charges of defrauding pharmaceutical companies.

Reputed mob underboss William Cammisano Jr. remains in federal prison after being convicted in August 1989 of beating a girlfriend. She was scheduled to testify before a grand jury investigating a suspected mob hit.

His brother, Jerry Cammisano, joined him in prison May 16 for refusing to answer questions before a federal grand jury investigating Be Amused.

Some reputed mob associates - and Missouri state Rep. Henry C. Rizzo - were subpoenaed to testify earlier this week before a federal grand jury probing organized crime.

And Joseph Peter Simone, Peter Simone's son, is awaiting trial on charges that he and a college roommate ran a sports gambling ring for high school students in St. Louis.

Poop isn't constitutionally protected speech. It's not a slippery slope unless it's wet poop. And if you don't get rid of it, I'll sue if I slip and fall on it.

Besides, teach 'im a lesson. Don't post anything about Royster until next election. Of all the stories you choose to ignore, that's a good one.
