The Missouri District 40 election is over. John Rizzo won.

After so many highly publicized allegations of "voter fraud" the voters in District 40 overwhelmingly selected John Rizzo over Libertarian candidate Sean O'Toole. No voter fraud was alleged in that landslide election.

Still . . . TKC TIPSTERS thought it was important to know this:

KANSAS CITY POLITICAL CONSULTANT CHRIS MORENO AND THE WILL ROYSTER CAMP ARE MEETING WITH GOP LEADERSHIP AND STILL PLEADING THEIR CASE REGARDING ALLEGATIONS OF VOTER FRAUD!!!

TKC Tipsters tell us that Moreno and crew recently took a meeting with GOP MO House Speaker Steven Tilley.

Certainly, that doesn't help their case with Democrat dominated in MD 40 . . . BUT, I understand that politicos in this epoch must learn how to work both sides of the aisle.

TIPSTERS tell us that this just might be a renewed effort to spark more Voter ID legislation in Missouri that basically makes the driver's license the de facto voting standard.

Because I'm all about fairness . . . I wanted to give Moreno a chance to respond to people noticing even more GOP flirtation from the one time Rising Star among Kansas City Democrats . . .

I begged him to keep it quick, so here is the statement from Moreno and The Royster camp that not only attacks a former judge but also alleges corruption . . . Read it for yourself:

"We have asked for a hand recount and/or a new election from day one. The KCEB, which has $1.7 million in county funding, refused to release the list of primary voters until after our district court hearing.

"We now have public documents, audio and video evidence, campaign finance records from JJ Rizzo, and more, showing voter fraud tied to J.J. Rizzo's campaign---all yet to be heard.

"We also now know Judge Nixon had a $27 million dollar budget controlled by Henry Rizzo, a wife appointed by county legislators, including Rizzo, to the County Merit Pay Commission until this year, and amazingly, today he received a $140,000 job with another pension as County Counselor. Yet Nixon did not recuse himself and denied a basic hand recount which would have allowed illegal ballots to be contested and removed.

"Here are the documented facts not yet heard. One vote decides this election. Yet we discovered 15 illegal ballots for JJ Rizzo with no initials, at least 22 illegal voters from Clay County and Lee's Summit, including JJ Rizzo's relatives and donors, 60 Somali voters giving their ballots to one individual or “team voting”, and a precinct unable to vote after their polling location was illegally moved out of district to the Somali Center. Over a dozen statutes were violated. Since the Apellate Court has yet to rule on a hand recount or release to the Supreme Court for over 2 months, we have asked the legislature to also take up this matter as allowed by law,” said Will Royster."

To me, this is like crying over spilled milk and it completely ignores the results of the general election. Still . . . The Followup is important and the aftermath of the MD40 election might provide a rallying cry for tougher regs on voters . . . Mostly in immigrant and minority communities.
