ReplyDeleteSuccessful people do leave lower digs... for the suburbs. Not just in KC but everywhere except NY and Boston. And they have their places too.
No one wants to live in a crime infested city and since we're not allowed to spay and neuter... well...it will only get worse in New Jack City. Lets build a fence HERE too.
Ya know. Integration on the basis of color might work and is. Ya can see it in many cities, if not this one. But not on the basis of economic/ educational condition. Even go to a culture diverse city like NY or LA basin, and people find their own kind. If not color, then class.
The real problem will be skill level... too many kids today just didn't apply themselves and will find themselves unable to compete in a high tech thinking world. They just won't be in the same class their parents were.
Too bad for THEM. They had the chance but opted for video games instead. There's a job open now at a gas station on Swope Parkway now.
