Mayor will make great money but face a mentally impoverished local populace constantly bitching and griping about how miserable everything is and how leadership isn't providing everything for them.
ReplyDeleteYeah we wouldn't want our public officials to actually have to serve the public. Self interest is what makes a good politicians.
ReplyDeleteOdd that Funkhouser claims that he has spent the last four years working on the city's finances and that they're in the best shape in a long time.
ReplyDeleteThe bad news is that he intends to spend the next four years making KCMO the safest big city in the country.
Judging by the results of both of these commitments, he can declare his work a success, and retire!
the economy will turn around in the next four years. the next mayor will come out smelling like roses.
ReplyDeleteI'd go so far as to say it's a hot mess.
ReplyDeleteIf you perceive the finances to be in good shape, it is not due to anything Funk has done. Nothing he has advocated has been adopted.
ReplyDelete1109 You shouldn't drink before noon. The economy is going only going to get WORSE. A lasting reminder of the debacle that was the george w. bush administration. Of course, I guess based on the Jeff Roe Party post, there are some folks that are doing pretty good. Just doing the peoples' work.
