Today at around 10 in the AM check out TKC on The Walt Bodine Show as a member of a panel discussing Auto-Tune and all kinds of newsy phenomena on the Internets.
I've been on KCUR a couple of times previously but this is my first time on this show, it should be a fun time and far more productive than worrying about Lindsay Lohan using drugs and making out with Paris Hilton. Maybe. Check it out, tune in or listen live online.
heh.
ReplyDeleteIn spite of all the world's suffering, Tony goes to BS about nothing on the radio.
ReplyDeleteMe! ME! ME!!
ReplyDeleteBut enough of my talking about myself.
What do you think about ME?
Yawn!!!
Auto-tune is important.
ReplyDeleteSorry to see Walt's show has lowered its standards.
ReplyDeleteWhy would they interview a loser like you?
ReplyDeleteodd... he didn't have anything BAD to say about the show, like it being a loser radio program, but i'll be a trooper and go on it anyway so i can rail against the white folk.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Everyone else must have scheduled an elective colonoscopy that day before they to Tony on their list.
ReplyDeleteLove him or hate him Tony's one of the hardest working guys in the blogging business around here. If all KC bloggers were as dedicated and worked this hard the blog scene here would get National recognition.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why people come on here to trash Tony. If you don't like him then, why are you here?
ReplyDeletebooty and boobs.
ReplyDeletedon't defend Tony. he doesn't like it.
I have cancelled my subscription to that rag called the Star because Tony has every important story linked on his blog, sans the artsy fartsy bullshit contained in that liberal piece of shit.
ReplyDeleteI bet Tony gets advertising on his site (he should start courting it) and he'll be a fucking millionaire in 10 years.
You heard it hear first, folks.
Now, Tony, get your momma a beer. I'm thirsty.
That armed robbery put to music made me throw up in my mouth a little. SO fucking stupid.
ReplyDeleteWhy are people here? To provide balanced views... and help him grow up. Obviously his MOM doesn't read his blog, otherwise he'd have gotten better by now. He hasn't figured out his niche. And that's what the internet demands today
ReplyDeleteBecause he's gotten on this racist tangent, I think he's peaking... even conservative Mokan is moving beyond where he is.
I'm still not convinced blogging is here to stay. Community dialup Bulletin Boards were just starting to get interesting when the Internet came along and most all of them had disappeared in less than a year. And a year later, all the mom and pop internet providers like Fileshop.com and Compuserve disappeared to the Time Warners, and AT&T's.
Apples Netbook ipad is the next incredible thing... just like their iphone is running blackberries out of business which already ran Palm pilots out of business.
It's hard keepin up. If KC Confidential grows its wings, theyll shut us all down because most of us really don't have anything new to say that hasn't been said by someone else. They have a ways to go to beat KansasCity.com though, whether Tee wants the call them dead tree press or not.
The amazing thing is how much news Tee gets off of Tv and they havent done serious journalism for a decade or two.
We get a lot of hits from other bloggers and a few media types, but voters don't read our stuff. I'm not sure why we're preoccupied with it. TV research learned 30 years ago people don't care about local politics and consultants dumped it all in favor of 'if it bleeds, it leads'.
Moreover, the blogosphere is a very tiny little orbiting moon around a world whose information doubles about every 18 months.
Before ya know it, Barnes & Noble will disappear like Blockbuster and CB radios. Like all the locally owned radio stations with deejays did, replaced by corporate automation systems.
Ten years ago, my websites came up on the early search engines on page one... by topic. Like Webcrawler, Lycos, and AltaVista? It was easy.. nobody else was out there. No mo. Ya gotta pay big money now to get find on page one and get a lot of hits already.
Most high tech startup industries won't last long enough for people to even learn their names!
I think this is a temporary distraction. Frankly no one cares where we ate dinner last night or what our two dogs' names are! Or what politician is pissed off because someone stole his yard signs.
We're just computer addicts who don't want to watch situation comedies with our wives.
Radioman - You may, or may not, be right. I don't know. But, you hit a home run with that last sentence.

SAME REASON TONY SPENDS SO MUCH TALKING ABOUT WHAT'S IN THE KC STAR AND MAKING FUN OF THEM.
