The KC Biz Journal attempts to put a positive spin on this horrible news by noting a similar plight all over the nation but this news hits Kansas City exceptionally hard: "In the metro area, 1.24 percent of housing units received a foreclosure filing from January to June, resulting in 10,719 total foreclosures. That represents a 14.56 percent increase compared with July to December of last year and a 51.25 percent increase compared with January to June of last year."
