We knew last year that somebody was going to jail over the Citadel Plaza hot mess.
Now some rather important legal action is finally taking place.
Meanwhile, Citadel Plaza is probably the most important and depressing Kansas City development failure that still looks like a disaster zone.

Developers face criminal charges in asbestos removal at Citadel Plaza project
Two prominent developers were indicted Tuesday on charges of improper handling of asbestos, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
Tony, keep following the money. Just HOW were all the properties bought? Who got nicely paid for that part of the business?
ReplyDeleteOh, I've got the answer! TERRY RILEY!! He was just as big a part of this mess as those two developers. He is in no position to run Jackson County and I hope J.C. citizens realize he's a crook before August 3rd.
ReplyDeleteTerry Riley will beat the old man on August 3rd because he knows how to get things done. He can work with progressive forces like Theresa Garza Ruiz and soon to be elected Crystal Williams.
ReplyDeleteClean Sweep the Jackson County Cesspool.
Why the hell do we need to CONTINUE to clean sweep Jackson County Courthouse? I clean and I clean and it just keeps getting dirty! All crooks, felons and courthouse whores get your butts out. We can't keep wasting our time on the likes of you.
ReplyDeleteThat "old man" is the one getting things done. What the hell has Terry Riley done that WAS NOT fraudulent? Please. Arbanas has INTEGRITY.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but at least Terry is Irish. His campaign signs scream it.
ReplyDeleteSing to Terry, everybody now..."Hey Hey Hey... Good-bye!"
ReplyDeleteTerry going to the pokey right along with the developers. But he'll be cool with it, because he looks good in orange.
ReplyDeleteWhat about the developer north of the river that built a sub division, which included a golf course with club house and stole water from the tax payers of Kansas City, Mo for more then 5 years. Instead of going to jail for stealing water his fine was lower and he was off the hook and did not bother to say he was sorry. My water bill just went up and will be going up every year for the 10 15 years, but because the developer was connected he just walked away to build another day.
ReplyDeleteWas there asbestos?
ReplyDeletenah, no asbestos, just rigged water meters.
ReplyDeleteReally?:
ReplyDelete"Two prominent developers were indicted Tuesday..."
Define "prominent".
Ass-wipes on parade!
