Thanks to a KICKASS TKC READER for sending in this local fashion report of sorts . . .
"Didn't know where else to report this. This afternoon, Thursday, May 13, we were watching JUDGE JUDY on WDAF, Fox TV. Around 10 minutes until 5 PM they went to a commercial and rather than going directly to the commercial they instead went to the Channel 4 newscast desk. John Holt didn't know that he was on TV and he took a compact out of his pocket, opened it and began applying power/make up to his face. It was HILARIOUS! When the channel 4 news began at 5, nothing was said about it. Am sure that thousands of people here in Kansas City saw it. Wonder how one would go about getting a tape of that?"
For the record, I think John Holt is a rather handsome man (no fishsticks) and I think every once in awhile local viewers getting a glimpse behind the scenes is important if only to realize that a good part of local news is putting on a show that's entertaining to people. Natch.
Photobabe: Kayden Kross . . . Who is hotter than Holt but not by much.
I saw it too! He fixed his hair and put on powder! I was laughing so hard! :)
ReplyDeleteThey need to cancel their news department and run MASH or Jeopardy again.
ReplyDeleteThey haven't done news well since forever. We have too many news stations and 4 is way down at the bottom.
I saw it and was laughing as well. I thought it was a joke but when I found out it wasn't it became more comical. A few people at work were even talking about. :)
ReplyDeleteAre you people serious? You're stunned and surprised that the man wears makeup? That he checks his hair before the red light goes on? News flash: he's a TV anchor! I know you'll be floored by this little secret, but Larry Moore, Mark Clegg, Brad Stevens, Phil Witt, Kris Ketz, etc. and even die-hard street reporters like Micheal Mahoney ALL wear makeup when they're going on air. (GASP)
ReplyDeleteThe goof up IS funny- a classic knuckle job by whoever was running the switcher (not criticizing that person- it's a thankless task and it's amazing more of these things don't happen. Like TKC, I know and like John Holt (no fishsticks either). I bet John got a good laugh out of it. (Unlike many, many, TV anchors, the man can laugh at himself.)
