NBC Action News: "City officials reveal that hotel financing may depend on a new tax or fee that voters would have to approve."
I can't help but think that Kansas City's Greatest Political Consultant Kim Carlos would probably run the campaign.

There's one thing liberals and conservatives can agree on - the convention business is for suckers.
ReplyDeleteVote NO !!!! No new Taxes.
ReplyDeleteDon't let the City Counsel and the funk waste your money!
They're throwing it away on lawsuits they create.
"Vote for this tax, and it'll go to...." Every new damn tax NEVER fucking goes the way we're told it'll go if only we vote for it.
ReplyDeleteRemember the riverboats that were supposed to float?
Kim Carlos will only run this campaign if paid enough money. Otherwise, she will hire other lesser known campaign people to run the campaign and pay them ten bucks an hour.

ReplyDeleteAs a person who travels frequently to StL, I can tell you that it's convention and entertainment set up is quite inferior to KC. In only one aspect is it superior to KC - Cardinals Baseball. KC has a much more positive reputation for it's nightlife scene and convention facilities. With the Hotel enhancement the KC package will be complete and jobs and revenues that conventions provide will follow. To compare the StL default to KC is not in proper context.
