How do you figure Omaha is an arch rival? Its half our population, has no pro sports teams, and less to do.

ReplyDeleteThis is probably true...
ReplyDeleteand no Tony ... that's a big plus.
ReplyDeleteUnified gvt of KCK is salivating over KCMO mis-steps.Omaha, Oklahoma City, and even Wichita are competing and winning. Kc is in a Funk.

Wonder what Red Bridge will look like when the predominently black community moves that far south and west?
It'd be good if it looked the same, but I'm afraid it won't. They have some maturing to do and I hope they do.
Have you noticed that European (white) communities manage to stay tidy, even when much older?
What is it about predominantly black communities that cause them to blight? I really don't understand it. The difference seems to be mostly about picking up the yards, planting real grass, painting. Small stuff.
Now I don't know what's going on in the Latino and Asian communities. Are they tidy, even though modest, or blighted also?
And what conclusions should we draw about community pride?
