Everybody Hates Aaron Barnhart!!!

I'm charging $500 to Star employees for a week-long intensive course on blogging, but today I wanted to give away a tip for free to one of many d-bag Star writers.

Dear Aaron Barnhart: On the Internet, claiming to "not read" a certain blog and then getting "first-ies" on two separate posts on two different blogs penned by that very same blogger (me) doesn't speak to the validity of such claims.

Readers of this post should know that I was graced with a personal note from a Star TV "journalist" on this blog in the early morning hours.

And then Barnhart had the first response (of many) for me on Hearne's blog where I noted more layoffs at The Star and hoped that he would be fired as well.

Still, in my relentless pursuit of the scoop I think I need to give Barnhart equal time on this blog. He has a good point, his blog still exists though I don't think I can be faulted for wondering about the whereabouts of his work. As of this writing . . .

AARON BARNHART'S BLOG HASN'T HAD A SINGLE COMMENT IN TWO MONTHS!!!

April is almost over and he hasn't created any conversation.

And not a single soul responded to his work in March of 2010.

That's kind of sad because even an emo douche scribbling online will garner at least a timid and encouraging comment from a concerned parent . . . Don't ask how I know this stuff.

DOES A KANSAS CITY STAR BLOG EXIST IF SEEMINGLY NOBODY READS IT?

It's an existential question that I can't answer and I can only hope ends with a pink slip for the local newsie that seems to write about what he watches on TV.

But what I find really funny are the notes of encouragement from Barnhart's colleagues. These aren't exactly TKC TIPSTERS, just kind souls who note their disdain for the dude. Thanks guys, my interest in how a grown man draws a check for writing about his TV watching habbits is strictly professional but I really do appreciate the encouragement.

In the meantime, I'll allow Aaron the luxury that every middle-aged white man should enjoy: The illusion that his work matters. Because TKC is a big fish in a small pond Internet juggernaut in Kansas City I really want to help the Star dude who might be out of a job soon. Check out his blog because The Star writer needs to remind people it's still there despite a nearly hidden hyperlink scheme and no reader reaction!!!

And I'll use a rather sweet photo gallery of Penny Mathis as a peace offering of sorts . . . Since it's rather obvious to me now the dude has a great many people who don't like him and I can relate. By the way, a public blogger beef with Barnhart is just another sign that TKC is moving up in the world.

  1. Star's laying off more people today...

  2. People prefer mean, nasty blogs where slanderous shit about people is smeared all over the place every day! That's why this one is so popular!

  3. Keep hammering at that worthless rag known as "The KC Star". It can't report news that is actually news, and reports stupid crap all the time.

TKC is the only blog worth reading.

    Love,
    Mom

  4. This is a disgusting post. I discussed my views lower in the post illustrated with the big red word FAIL... which we see too much on this blog.

I think this was an unwarranted attack on a local entertainment reporter and I discuss it a few posts below, deep in the one illustrated with the red "FAIL"

  5. N0-one post at the star either because no-one cares.

  6. Maybe he needs to give popcorn bag ratings to Tv shows. Then he can get honored by the National Entertainment "Journalism" Awards like Shawn Edwards. Then he could be a best TV dude.

  9. Aaron Barnhardt just writes about borning fluff stuff. My least favorite is the Back to Rockville guy who never once came backstage for an interview or stayed more than halfway through a performance (at least for the ones at the Crossroads)

  10. Are you the same mom who told a group of Star reporters back in 1994 that they should write more positive stories about then-Councilman Mike Hernandez because he was such a role model for your son? I believe you were there, and of course your pal got convicted a few months later of bribery and went to prison. You sure have a lot of credibility- NOT!

  11. And I guess all those stories about Michael Hernandez back in the day were just a bunch of crap, too.

  12. I'm just skipping down to the bottom to say thanks for the love again, Tony. And if you ever do get around to actually reading anything I write, I'd welcome your thoughts.

  13. Ha, Tony. Someone with some class showed you the door.

  14. You leave my baby alone, 12:52!

  15. It's not fair to state that Barnhart hasn't had a comment all month. We don't know since, like fellow Stalinists Yael Abouhalkah and Derek Donovan, Barnhart highly censors comments on his blog. Had Tony left comments similar to the ones he left here, no one would have ever seen them.

The Star, corrupt and Stalinist, what a combination.
