So . . . Count Terry Out of the Mayor's race.
Kansas City Councilman Terry Riley is at the Jackson County Courthouse this afternoon filing to run against Fred Arbanas for the 3rd District at-large seat on the Jackson County Legislature.
I'm pretty sure this is a good move and Riley's chances are excellent. Even better, this thins the crowd for the Mayoral election and should make South of the River candidates a bit more confident.
Good Luck Terry !
ReplyDeleteSly can rest easier tonight
ReplyDeleteHello Mayor James!
ReplyDeleteGood-bye Terry
ReplyDeleteWe won't miss you, really
He should be in jail for the perfect output case. When's that go to trial?
ReplyDeleteHow many Councilwomen might run for Mayor?
ReplyDeleteAmen 5:44...Riley may be indicted before the August election.
ReplyDeleteHead fake...TR's still a go for Mayor.
ReplyDeleteTerry could run for mayor and we would still count him out of the mayor's race.
ReplyDeleteI guess since convicted felons can serve on the Jackson County Legislature, Terry is reading the Perfect Output tea leaves and throwing his hat in the ring.
I wonder if they have video conferencing for meetings in Leavenworth?
He is leaving early IF he wins.... Council picks his successor..... Sliding Ken Baccus into place to run as an incumbent?
ReplyDeletefirst you zig, then you zag.
This makes no difference in the mayor's race.
Maybe Jim Rowland can run for a county seat AND STILL RUN THE Jackson County Sports Authority!
I don't care if he wins or loses, just as long as he LEAVES!
ReplyDeleteWhat is up with these career politicians? Do they really have such huge egos that they think we need their giant intellects to keep the wheels of public policy spinning?
ReplyDeleteMy observation is that the longer they are in office typically the further from the electorate they get.
I am going to go take a big dump and think about it.
Terry's a better candidate than Sly and he knows it. He's Al Brook's protege and will enter as soon as Burke loses steam - as he will. It'll be TR as the new Mayor.
ReplyDeleteHey! the Waldo rapist takes a pretty good picture...better than the popo sketch!
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:09... in your dreams. Riley might be a better candidate than Sly, but there is no way he'll ever be mayor of KC. Once he is indicted on federal charges from Citadel, he's toast. With the threat of indictment hanging over his head, he has way too much political baggage to win a race for dog catcher.
ReplyDeleteWatch Riley on Channel 2... he is nervous, shifty-eyed and jumpy. The guy is scared of his own shadow and that is part of the reason he bullies everyone around him, calls people racist, and tells lies about others. Riley is obviously very, very nervous and for good reason. He knows better than anyone the backroom deals and shady goings on with Perfect Output and Citadel. If there is any justice in the world, Riley will be wearing an orange jumpsuit by the end of the year.
Maybe 11:02, but TR is one sexy motherfucker.
