Kansas City Bodies Revealed Exposé

Tonight Fox 4 is going to feature a report regarding Bodies Revealed that will deal with a bit of the controversy at around 9:30 p.m.

On the night before the exhibit opens I'm asking any blogger that feels moved to post their feelings about the possibility of executed Chinese prisoners being put on display in this town without their consent to please post and send me a link.

It's a subject worth discussing and I think this town's attitude toward the exhibit really says a lot on our real world stance on human rights.

For me it's always been an issue of consent or the lack thereof . . . Given the company's sketchy history, considering that there is a reasonable doubt about the legitimacy of any assurances the company provides it's clear that this isn't about science, it's a carnival act that not only ignores the dignity of the PEOPLE put on display but also the rights of their LIVING NEXT OF KIN to claims the bodies of their loved ones.

I'm not going to this freak show and I think any reasonable person who contemplates the implications of this exhibition of what could be dead PEOPLE put on display without their consent would come to the same conclusion.

The bodies belong to people from a far away place and for the life of me I don't think this kind of display would be allowed if there was a chance that folks from Kansas City who might not have agreed to participate in this show were posed for the pubic to see . . . Media regularly highlights missing persons - It's worth at least acknowledging that the dead PEOPLE put on display tomorrow at Union Station could have been garnered for the exhibit though strikingly similar circumstances and respect for the lives, the remains and their loved ones of dead isn't just a privilege for the people of Kansas City but a right that should be extended to all of humanity.

  1. Did you see Brian Ross' report on ABC? He traced the bodies to some place in China. I can't imagine that they are not executed prisoners given what else we know about the trade in human organs. This is just a side business.

  2. Fox 4 is one of the sponsors of this mess. This will be purely a puff piece.

  3. Wasn't it dead illegal immigrants who were trying to cross the border but died trying.
MS-13 would ship the bodies to China to use the brown people as dead art.

    I sorry Tony

  4. I wonder if I could steal one of those exhibits and sell it on the black market? Fox 4 does not keep it real

  5. Well, maybe next time, those Chinese people will think twice about being bad. Then, they won't have to be gawked at by 12 year olds.

  7. That was actually very informative Tony although I think it was too slanted toward the bodies revealed side. Thanks T.

  10. The Bodies Revealed Exhibit is nothing but a cheap rip off of Gunther von Hagens work. Further more the work is no more educational then a model or digital reproduction. I think the thing that bothers me the most is that nobody is paying the respect due to Honore Fragonard who was preserving skinned cadavers in the 18th century.
