The Pitch recently f-ed over Terry Riley quoting him verbatim regarding their reporting practices - It's not really news, it's news about news . . . Long story short only children would be aghast at the use of the f-word but cleaning up nasty language is usually a courtesy that most media people extend to politicos . . . Unless the Pitch has a grudge against a politico as they do with most people of color who don't support their worldview i.e. everything hipster is awesome!!!
Anyhoo, it's a minor dust-up and no big revelation that adults use adult language.
My only question is: Why are people still talking to The Pitch?
Is there a chance that a really great quote will persuade people before they get to the ads for escorts?
Is there any question they are yet another local rag in the pocket of the Funky Administration with two former staffers on his payroll?
It's pretty obvious where they're coming from and I doubt they'd challenge any accusations of bias.
This is a blog with jokes, the Pitch is a joke paper, news media in general is pretty laughable with only a few standouts doing any kind of real reporting.
Personally, I've always thought the term "journalism" was a joke anyway and in this day and age, in this racially divided town . . . without question people of color are having a more difficult time finding local media outlets who don't have some kind of bias against them.
Print media seems to be in the pocket of the Mayor while most of the TV news stations simply want a good quote . . . Meanwhile news ratings across the board seem to be dropping in favor of reality TV.
If you actually ever TALKED to anyone outside the walls of your mom's vagina, you'd know that the black community doesn't even like Terry Riley.
