After a year in office and no progress . . . The Mayor is pretending to do something about the metal plates on Kansas City Streets. Sadly, there are more potholes in the thing than could ever be imagined but it's a nice thought.
Be sure to read the details and realize that in a city with a budget crunch there's almost no way to enforce these new regs. Also, requiring all plates to be used only under "emergency" situation simply means that every situation is now an emergency - That's an old public works trick. Finally, an alternative like "boring under streets" is way more expensive than Mayor Funky could possibly imagine. Long story short - Nothing changes but the Mayor gets to pretend like he did something . . . Which doesn't exactly pay a car repair bill.
Most of the idiots in this city need to slow down a little bit and not hit the steel plates going 60 mph!!!! If you slow down when crossing the steel plates then you won't damage your cars. This is much like when you morons are driving in the snow and you're driving down the road like usual! Slow down morons and you won't have a problem!
