Removing the Mexican Aftertaste

They say that they are "Planning a new flavor for Strawberry Hill" which I think is just a nice way to describe getting rid of all of the poor brown people who live in the neighborhood.
Now two nonprofit groups are proposing a 67 town-home development that would require tearing down a handful of the hill’s more blighted homes. They say the town homes, priced at $170,000 to $210,000, would be a welcome addition to downtown Kansas City, Kan., which has recently attracted a new hotel, scores of new rental units and a new regional headquarters for the Environmental Protection Agency.
I guess it's a good idea if it weren't for the fact that unless they plan to tear down EVERY poor person's home in KCK there is still a decent chance that these new nicer homes will be built in the middle of a small city that has hosted more than its share of recent murders. And if they could take a lesson from KCMO, it's clear that a building boom does little to decrease murders.
