Apparently, Kansas City is going to pick up the tab for Mayor Funky’s stubbornness and lack of judgment.

The only thing I have to add is that Mayor Funky was told time and time again that his wife would be a problem. He proved too stubborn to convince, it’ll cost Kansas City.

actually they can’t. By state and city law they can only represent paid employees.
