June 11th, 2008 · 3 Comments · Uncategorized

That Star reports that Alan L. Hill, who suffered severe injuries when viciously attacked by a group of pit bulls two years ago, was awarded $7.25 million by a Jackson County judge Tuesday . . . Other than hamburgers served at the P&L District, Hill is now the most expensive entrée in Kansas City.

That all sounds great, however where is the money coming from that was awarded. My guess is that the dogowners will have their wages garnished for life, but will never see much.

Alan Hill is my friend, no one should have to go thru the terrible experience that Alan, his wife Connie, and his children, Chris and Amanda went thru. No amount of money can compensate for that kind of truma. Money can not compensate for the horror that family went thru day after day not knowing if your loved one would survive and if they did survive, what kind of shape they would be in. It’s so hard to see someone you care about in such a terrible condition, he will live with that trauma the rest of his life. Do you think seven million dollars makes up for almost being eaten alive by dogs, trying to get away and not being able to. I think not. Everyone who cares about Alan are so proud and happy that he survived this ordeal. Proud of Connie for being so strong and never giving up, staying by his side, day after day, night after night, being the rock that everyone else looked to for support. God Bless them all.
