This week there was a significant Kansas City gathering on the topic of journalism the public discourse.
A crowd of more than 1000 showed up . . .
Of course the Kansas City Star attempted to swagger jack the event with a live feed . . .
But it was actually Fox4 Morning Anchor Mark Alford who, once again dominated the discussion . . .
Here's his best moment and a line that drew applause from the crowd:
"Somehow, we have to rebuild trust in our profession. By being: Vulnerable... Truthful... Educated... Honest about our own biases... @markalfordkc"
Like it or not, that reads a lot more like blogging then corporations pretending to be the arbiter of truth.
You decide . . .
And boobs.
ReplyDeleteThe news needs more boobs and not just morning babes showing off their good teeth.
Jade DeGoods tits are spectacular
DeleteI don't know how he has a job. He can't read the teleprompter and constantly stumbles over words.
ReplyDeleteHe's dominating the field right now.
ReplyDelete5:08 FTW!!!
ReplyDeleteTony, you are not a journalist.
ReplyDeleteYou are only a Republican Propagandist.
Blah Blah Blah........"blogging, the last free speech". Yeah, and I'm the fucking tooth fairy.
ReplyDelete^^^ Reads TKC no less than 6 times daily a.k.a. the fart smeller.
ReplyDelete^^^^ Wears jeans backwards and blows Mark Alford while posting stupid shit anonymously.
ReplyDeleteSPEAKING OF FAKE NEWS...
ReplyDeleteYou could tell that moderator Allan Katz was pushing his own status quo propaganda when he began the "fake news" discussion by stating unequivocally that those who have doubts about the "official" government narrative concerning the Pearl Harbor bombing, the assassination of JFK, 9/11, and Obama's birth country, are among a tiny minority who are mistaken.
So, that tells you right from the get-go that this very discussion is FAKE NEWS! Moderator and former-Ambassador Allan Katz is a liberal Democrat, appointed by Obama, former member of the Democratic National Committee, and helped draft the 2008 DNC platform. He is now ensconced with the liberal academia of UMKC, the same group that includes the Star's Steve Kraske and Mayor James' wife.
FOR was aware of Pearl Harbour, proven by freedom of information act documents, JFK enough said, 911 the day physics took a day off and history will eventually reveal the Obama fraud.
ReplyDeleteYou, Tony? Honest?
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
I see 5 people on that stage.
ReplyDeleteI see at least 4 of them who did NOT vote for President Trump.
I do NOT trust most corporate media, including ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, NYTimes, KCStar, etc.
Colleen McCain Nelson doesn't get it! She presides over an editorial board that is an echo chamber of Democrats, nodding in agreement. Please name 1-2 members of the board who represent the conservative viewpoint.....there aren't any!
@6:44PM for real? There have been plenty of articles supporting the liberal/prog side of things. I would say TKC is probably the least biased "journo" in the City. He is mostly local with a few impactful Nat'l stories, typically regardless of political bent.
ReplyDeleteSame for the commenters. I'm a true conservative. Millennial pants-wetter kid is the deep side of prog. Plenty more on either side and the middle.
I wouldn't call him a "journo" as "journos" don't report rumors, innuendo and don't spin the facts to fit their Show-Me Institute agenda.
ReplyDeleteYou have to hand it to Mark Alford. He gets out into the community, and is not afraid to speak his mind. That's not how the other anchors in KC are. I admire his hustle--his secondary careers to support his family and have avenues for when his news gig might end. And he's got a wry sense of humor. He may not be a Rhodes scholar, but then we've seen how that leads the Greitens and the Kobachs of the world to go all narcissistic. He works with the talents God gave him--and does a good job.
ReplyDelete^ You failed to list Mr. King Narcissist, Billy Jeff, who got his Rhodes before those two.
