TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! SURVEY SEYZ: NEW KANSAS CITY ANIMAL SHELTER ROLLS OVER AND OUTRANKS ALL GO BOND QUESTIONS WITH VOTERS!!!
Kansas City voters love their dogs.
Let's not waste time debating this fact of life pretty much defines the term: pet cause.
To wit . . .
KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS SHARE POLLING DATA REVEALING THAT KANSAS CITY VOTERS ENDORSE THE NEW ANIMAL SHELTER MORE THAN ANY OTHER UPCOMING GO BOND QUESTION!!!
Here's a peek at the questions that confront KCMO voters in April . . .
Remember that our blog community was FIRST to warn of the GO BOND effort broken apart . . . And the aftermath of this strategy is that doggie lovers dominate and skew all polling data.
Just a few more facts we gleaned because less expensive polling data doesn't stay secret for very long . . .
- Frequent voters favor a new animal shelter by a margin of more than 70%
- 9 out of 10 white females over the age of 40 support the new Kansas City animal shelter
- Dude doggy style: Male frequent voters across demographic lines support by a margin of 3/5.
And so . . .
And all of this is to day that doggies will rule the April vote and tax fighters have their work cut out for them IF they plan to oppose all three questions instead of just taking an L on the doggie shelter and focusing on Questions 1 & 2 that have earned continual voter approval over the years but never seem to get any better.
Developing . . .
Tell them to get aquarium funding out of the equation.
ReplyDeleteThere's not enough money for that and the Zoo should pay for it with a another fundraiser.
Yes, it's hard to say no to lovable canines. But to keep Fido fed, people are going to have to realize that their sales taxes are going above and beyond an acceptable rate.
DeleteThis "polling" will simply be used by people like Glorioso to trick the public into voting for something that they'll end up actually understanding very little about.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be something if the gang at 12th and Oak just put together a balanced, well-thought out, and common sense infrastructure proposal and then provided some actual leadership to create the public confidence required to pass it?
In this case, be sure to guard your wallet while you're petting the cute puppy.
But if it doesn't turn out well, well it's only $800 million.
And you thought the circus was going out of business!
Public works can't even fix a pothole without screwing it up. But that's okay we all love each other KCMO STRONG!

People would much rather pay for taking care of dogs.
ReplyDeleteWithout dogs and crows (Crows drew mankind to dead and wounded animals to finish off, so they could eat. Crows are smarter than your average gangbanger. NO, they are smarter than all gangbanger thugs.), there is no civilization. A Big shout out to crows. :)
Dogs are man's best friend. Two legged Crows are an endless source of pain, economic distress and violence that will NEVER end. We spend trillions on Two Legged Crows and we have ZERO to show for it. Build the shelter, put in a Jacuzzi, wet bar supplied with doggy treats and beer (Dogs like beer, another reason to love dogs.) and buy a 70" big screen so they can watch the "Animal Channel".
Money well spent, compared to what we piss it away on now.
I hope voters aren't so foolish to approve this bond issue given the fact that we've already invested heavily into the animal shelters and we certainly don't need 80 million in general obligations bonds to care for animals. They're expensive but not that expensive.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely DO NOT trust Sly James and Troy Schulte with this.
ReplyDeleteI do believe you people in KC are about some of the dumbest fools I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteYou ignorant fuckers need to drain the swamp.
Unfortunately the hinges and grifters far outnumber those who pay taxes and own property and seems to be those who get bussed to polling stations are the votes needed to succeed
DeleteI do believe you people in KC are about some of the dumbest fools I have ever seen...
ReplyDeleteYes it appears that way.
Well one thing is obvious 25 years of left wing politics is going down the tubes in one week.
ReplyDeleteWhat has James done besides ignore the cities most pressing problems?
ReplyDeleteSpent most of his time working at being a celebrity? being popular?
ReplyDeleteSounds like someone who just moved off 1600 Pennsylvania Ave
DeleteWe're hiring in the media. The only qualification is you have to say how much you love your new home, Kansas City, and you must look good.
ReplyDeleteBrains optional
Are you ready for some STREETCAR!
ReplyDeleteYes let's rip off the public with a toot toot toy extension. Brilliant thinking there.
ReplyDeleteMuch as I like animals, I don't think an Animal Shelter is "Basic Infrastructure."
ReplyDeletewhen the town of kc has the issues it does, stupid trams and a dog house is not the path the city needs to go down.
ReplyDeleteI support a new shelter but 50 million is kind of steep. In addition to ADA compliance, I'm not sure how much it's going to cost and I know the city doesn't want to say.
ReplyDeleteAll the issues this city faces and the thing that can get passed overwhelming is a $50M dog house.
ReplyDeleteDogs.
Dawg.
Doesn't matter what the ballots specify where the money is going--
ReplyDelete95% of it will end up in the pockets of Democrat City Hall scammers, and their Democrat cronies.
Vote NO to all three... and, like me , kick in a little donation every now and then to the "Wayside Waifs"
Very excellent points made here in the comments section:
ReplyDelete1. Animal shelter is NOT infrastructure!
2. 50Mil for said Animal Shelter is outrageous!
3. If the Bond issue passes, the money will be funneled to other projects just like the Streetcar, East Patrol, Soccer Park, Green Impact Zone, etc. No matter the narrative, there's always going to be a diversion of needed monies to cover other, lesser desired or vanity projects. Since there is no verbiage in the bond issue language promising that NONE of the money will be diverted to other projects, this reduces the issue to creation of a slush fund.
4. The people of Kansas City SHOULD be donating to animal shelters voluntarily.
Vote NOOOOOO!
I am open to attempts to make this city better. I am also smart enough to see a potential "Bait and switch" when it is set up. This 800 million is actually over 3/4 of a BILLION dollars. If there was any attempt to get rid of the metal plates, fill pot holes, refurbish presently owned city buildings for animal shelter usage --it would be easier to believe that the bonds would be used for what is being proposed. The lack of belief is directly tied to the verbal fabrications from past bond elections, building a foo foo carnival ride instead of actually being a good steward for public funds and repairing of public facilities. No one believes that what is being proposed is any more than flim flam, huckster, cliches, invented to "sell" the general public on voting more money which will be spent in the same way the 35 Million or the 359 million was spent, which we were conned into voting for in the past.
ReplyDeleteTo clarify:
ReplyDeleteThe $50 million is total for upgrades to public buildings -- most of which will got to get into ADA compliance. The shelter cost is will be about 25% of that total. There is also significant private contribution to the shelter as well, the city will only be on the hook for part of the cost of building it.
The shelter is 45 years old....while the not-for-profit is doing a great job managing it, the building itself is far below modern sheltering standards and badly needs an upgrade.
And public buildings and facilities are very much included in the definition of infrastructure.
To Clarify: the City's administration has painted themselves into a grifty financial corner, and is now begging for a ludicrous payday to fill the trough of local crony capitalism.
DeleteJust Vote "No"! No exceptions. We are already nickel and dimed to death.
ReplyDeleteWe'll gladly take care of the furry animals but gladly exterminate the apes.
ReplyDeleteADA "improvements"? Someone needs to audit that process. Doesn't the city have an auditor?
ReplyDeleteVOTE NO or GO Broke. GO BROKE BONDS are BAD. NO 3/4 Billion dollar set up. NO!!
