DEADLY SUGAR CREEK DOUBLE SUSPECT SHOOTING DURING POLICE CHASE!!!

A reminder that smokies working in the outskirts of Kansas City don't play around.

Pro-tip . . . Cops who can't cut it in the big city (or even in one of the smaller surrounding cities) usually end up working in one of the many smaller police departments out in the sticks and this is yet another reason that suburban exploring or the search for the perfect walnut bowl in rural Missouri is far more dangerous pastime than most people would expect . . .

New York Times: Cast-Out Police Officers Are Often Hired in Other Cities

On the other hands, there are many hardline keyboard warriors who applaud whenever somebody gets killed.

Reserving judgement . . . Here's a roundup of morning news coverage . . .

Deets:

Police say around 2:19 a.m. officers were pursuing a vehicle near Mcbride Street and Barreto Lane in Sugar Creek.

At some point during the pursuit, both suspects were shot. One of those suspects was pronounced dead at the scene. The other sustained a serious but non life-threatening injury.

  1. The KCPD cast offs would be those who didn't write their quota of traffic tickets or perhaps decided to actually pursue criminals.

  2. What the hell are you talking about Tony? You have no idea what it takes to get hired on individual police departments in the metro. Maybe officers don't want to work in the slums or maybe they want to serve the community where they grew up. As for Sugar Creek, I've rarely seen job openings. When they do, they have the pick of many qualified of candidates.

  3. Tony, it is amazing to me how poor your grammar is with respect to this blog. Did you even graduate high school?

  5. When local press uses terms like "it is unclear", that usually means that the fake journalists made virtually no effort to gather facts or follow up. This is a serious issue I have noticed with the local press which seldom prints much more than they are TOLD to. In the mean time they will reiterate the public's need to stay informed. LOL

  7. Dakota lukecart murdered by independence and sugar creek police and now passenger and best friend Trevor Payne is unlawfully imprisoned As We speak.
Was wandering if you were gonna do any updates to this?!?! My brother Dakota lukecart was murdered by a police offices and my friend Trevor Payne is being unlawfully imprisoned. He has no charges clearly it's been over 24 hrs and he isn't on any kind of hold from his parole at this point, yet he is allowed no contact with anyone not even his mother. The Jackson County Mo prosecutor won't allow detectives ware or howe to let anyone see or talk to trevor. They have 2 uniformed police officers monitoring him 24/7. The police still won't say why they shot the boys why they were pulling them over to begin with or anything relating to the case. My brother is dead and it's went completely silent in the media. My friend lay in the hospital and still hasn't been able to see a single comforting soul. I called the medical examiners office today and they said its a homicide. is insane. The victims and familys are being treated as our lives dont matter. If dakota (white male) had made it out alive and trevor (black male) had died from these cops shooting them there would be riots.. The cops up there in KC are beyond corrupt but I suppose that shouldn't surprise me knowing that the police force is actually the largest strongest most tight knit gang in the US. They can do what ever they want with out consequences! I want justice for my brother and friend.

  8. Amen, these boys need justice. Dakota was a close family friend of mine. I watched him grow up.those cops are with holding information, so they can cover up something.and bringing up his past, it has nothing to do with what happened that night. Trevor lost his best friend and is being treated wrongly. We want justice for one of our own. Sincerely crystal shaw

  9. My support goes with the family!!! There are other tactics that can be used to stop a car if they needed to unless they have had no training! Sadly this happens more than we know!! Shame on you who ever shot these boys, SHAME ON YOU!!!
