To wit . . .

Even worse . . . Yesterday wasn't really that cold with global warming temperatures soaring into the 50s . . . Which is just a bit unexpected for late December in KCMO.

"Photo was taken at 8 pm on Wednesday. There were two other people on the trolley besides myself. How much longer can this City afford to run empty streetcars up and down Main Street?"

You decide . . .

  1. A good question.

    Looks like the streetcar experiment failed.

    Expect some more vitriol from the people who are still trying to squeeze a paycheck out of this one.

    And now Clay has more votes than the streetcar petitioners. A public transit disaster seems unavoidable if we can't get some real leadership on this issue beyond the Mayor doubling down after the voters told him NO in 2014.

    1. Nigger lives matter. They matter when they can be used as a biological weapon against Whites by the jew, when they can be used to attack our rights and our persons. They matter when it’s time for free medical care paid for by White tax-payers. They matter when you turn on the electronic synagogue and see nothing but brown faces. For the negro, their lives and those of others couldn’t be more worthless. While our kosher enemy is pretending there’s great value in this failed race for political purposes and Whites are displaying pathological altruism toward the genetic alien they’re engaging in tribal warfare. Standing on a corner or sitting in a “whip” could prove fatal to the “African American,” its valuable existence ended by its fellow animals.

      Genetic determinism and its consequences. We’re not going to wish it away, or correct it with pathetic groveling and nigger appeasement. The answer is their removal.

  3. Where are the jobs? That's what I want to know, beyond the initial construction. They told us that the streetcar was an economic engine that would create density and economic opportunity. If that's true. Let's talk about the sustainable jobs that are coming to downtown because of it. I like the new downtown barbecue place on the line but so far that's all I see. The damage done to the river market economy seems much worse than what anybody else is reporting.

  5. Any idea how much it cost to run per hour?

    ReplyDelete
  6. The decline is probably because the 24+ million tourists from around the world have decided that they're not coming to KC until they have a brand new airport terminal with restaurants and gifts shops.
    So they won't be there to ride the streetcar back and forth between the River Market and Union Station.
    But don't worry, Sly and the backroom gang are on that airport terminal issue big time!
    Next up? Bartle Hall will need to be expanded so KCMO can attract bigger conventions.
    How's Mike's new taxpayer-subsidized hotel coming along?

  13. Not a surprise that Tony is frustrated that the streetcar is still running & will be expanded soon. After all, It took a successful lawsuit against Tony for him to admit he was wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  15. What can they do to get ridership up? Offer free rides?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Streetcar is costing KCMO residents $10+ million per year and nobody rides it besides tourists. This maddest must stop!

  17. TonyKC thanks for your streetcar updates. The rest of the media just publishes press releases from the trolley folks.

  18. 8:30, I find nothing in your links where Tony Botello admitted he was wrong about Louie Wright. It is likely that the settlement document expressly provided that the defendant admits no wrongdoing and is only settling to avoid the substantial costs of litigation.

    Regardless, it was four years ago. Got anything recent?

  19. Media in other cities are able to do fair and accurate reporting. Why is that not available to us in KC?

  25. Nice to see our taxpayer dollars being put to good use by the number of posts made by city personal trying to shift the failure of the street car towards Tony as being unreliable in his posts.

    Face it you jerks, nobody rides the damn thing.

  27. The math used is not correct. Although it looks empty- it is actually full. When you add people that might come and multiply it by a needed ratio- the darn things are full and the line needs expanded to other useless locations. I fully intend to someday buy a cup of coffee to help the city's efforts... maybe even get a medium.

  28. Streetcar supporters are the worst kind of liars. They are less trustworthy than Clay Chastain and he doens't even live here yet he has more votes!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Maybe if we would pay two dollars a ride people would start using that phony train.

    ReplyDelete
  30. We were promised economic opportunity & jobs. When that didn’t work out, they started quoting outlandish ridership statistics. Since that was proven wrong, what next???

  32. I smell the odor of a wet dog or is that the odor of NEGRO on that "Toy Train"?

    Bet that's why nobody is riding it. A rolling "ape house" is not viable transportation in the Bearville.

  33. According to KCMO City Hall lib'tard Degenerates

    This is how they do their MATH & Accounting down there

    2 people, take that times say 400 = 800 people on that TOY TRAIN,,,,,

    where'd the 400 figure come from ?????

    out of thin air, a magical number to just throw around to push their phony illusionary bullshit agenda !!!

    Welcome to how the Degenerates at KCMO City Hall do their math !!!!!

  34. Crazy Clown – you have it right. Unbelievable that the media in KC accepts those outlandish ridership claims from the trolley people without question.

  35. KC Streetcar = 6,800 daily riders
    Seattle = 2,419 daily riders
    Washington DC = 2,285 daily riders
    Dallas = 300 daily riders
    Atlanta = 1,000 daily riders
    Salt Lake City = 1,000 daily riders

    Guess folks in KCMO just like public transportation a lot more or ???

    ReplyDelete
  36. Cincinnati reports 1,664 daily riders. Kansas City reports 6,117 daily riders. Outlandish claims of the KC Streetcar folks are insulting the intelligence of the citizens of KCMO!

    Both of them make KC more fun than any other place in the Midwest.

  41. Ridership numbers are meaningless. It's free. They have no impact on the cost to the public.
