Kind of a contradiction here . . . Small shops certainly benefit from increased traffic but the bigger crowds have taken some of the charm away from this year and replaced it with more parking problems, higher crime and dimwit doctors, nurses and med students tracking hospital pathogens carried on their scrubs all over the place.

Absolutely. KU Med building are blighting up the place, wreaking havoc on traffic and decreasing quality of life for neighbors mearby. It's a shadowy eyesore.
