More controversy tonight betwixt Kansas City law enforcement...
CHECK OUT KANSAS CITY POLICE FOP CALLING OUT THE KCPD CHIEF OVER HIS RECENT COMMENTS THAT OFFICERS FIND OFFENSIVE!!!
The comments were regarding "unreasonable" fear that the Chief contends lead to deadly shootings of African-American males . . .
An excerpt . . .
An accusation was made by Chief Forte that we have gone around him regarding policy changes and "try to get favor" with those who make decisions. Our current contract with the Board of Police Commissioners specifically allows for us to be included in policy discussions, and when our input and suggestions are ignored we are allowed to address the Board directly. The chief signed that contract and is aware of the procedure. I will make no apologies for taking the opportunity to protect our member's rights in that contract.
I cannot understand any statement regarding unreasonable fear on our member's part when dealing with life and death situations. We are humans, and not robots. We have families and lives. The fear that officers feel during critical incidents is real. It is not for someone else to tell us what is reasonable or unreasonable. We make decisions based on the totality of circumstances, and strive to do what is reasonable. Our training is based on ruling from our great country's Supreme Court.
I ask that Chief Forte address these issues in a public forum and provide our members with some resolution to his statements not only yesterday, but in forums that he has spoke at a number of times in the last several weeks. There are a number of videos that suggest that he didn't misspeak, but holds those values.

ReplyDeleteYet another example of how Blacks demand that everything on the planet be brought down to their level. If something smells too intellectual or is too difficult for blacks to understand, then it is "too white" and must be destroyed or diluted.

Blacks are afraid of white intellectualism, and that is one of the reasons why they hate us so much. They throw little violent fits when they feel left out, just as a child would. DWLs cave in to their demands to keep them pacified enough so that they don't riot and burn everything down.
Whites are complex and intellectual by nature. Blacks can never participate in this, and the few who do are ejected promptly from the black collective.
Blacks like pop-culture, Michael Jackson, fictional black heroes and mythology, music, church, black sports and Madea movies. Anything dumbed down sufficiently will work just fine.
This is why there is a dumbed down black version of most things created by intellectual whites.

Forte is still very much pro police. It looks like his ego was bruised because lower ranks dislike him. That's how it goes. He has found himself in an awkward position. If any White people thought he was pro black, you are mistaken. He's out of touch with black people, too.

The KCPD FOP has distinguished themselves from other unions, police or otherwise, by not defending the actions of those who no longer deserve to be police officers. That allows them to speak to issues that truly impact the department and the public safety of Kansas City, as they don't turn a blind eye to misconduct that needs to be addressed. Chief Forte has repeatedly told officers that it is their fault that there is mistrust with the black community. That's absurd! Policing a violent community requires the police to be proactive and stop vehicles and pedestrians who commit even the smallest violations. That's how criminals are kept on their heels and crimes are solved. If Forte has another solution, he's keeping it to himself. Because his constant praise of the "community" and constant pandering has led to more black-on-black crime than we've seen in years. Time for new leadership.
