TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY EARNINGS TAX RENEWAL 2016 SECURES POLITICAL POWER PLAYER SUPPORT ON EAST SIDE AND INTO THE NORTHLAND!!!

Today's Tuesday latest from the Earnings Tax campaign offers enthusiastic news of support from diverse Kansas City communities.

Take a look FIRST on TKC . . . And what's funny here is that the campaign of high paid consultants and local power broker rich guys are answering the criticisms for this blog community daily because they already bought off the newspaper . . . Anyhoo, in fairness, here's the latest . . .

E TAX RENEWAL CAMPAIGN SECURES KEY SUPPORT!

The campaign effort to renew Kansas City's Earnings Tax received a significant boost with the endorsement by Freedom, Inc. and Northland Neighborhoods, Inc.

NNI was founded in 1996 to work for better housing, better communities, and better neighborhoods in the Clay and Platte County portions of Kansas City. It is the largest and only community development corporation serving the Northland. The CEO is former City Councilwoman, Deb Hermann.

Hermann stated that the endorsement was unanimous as all the members of the NNI Board felt strongly that for the northland to continue its momentum and growth the Earnings Tax has to be renewed. To lose 40% of the General Fund would be a devastating blow to the entire city including in the northern sections of Kansas City.

Freedom, Inc. is the largest political organization in Kansas City. Founded 50 years ago to fight for civil and voting rights, the organization continues the promote the well being of Kansas City's African American community.

Freedom supports the renewal of the Earnings Tax as it is the life blood of city government. Without it significant cuts in city services would include reductions in fire, police and ambulances services. The tax is the fairest of all the taxes the city levies especially more equitable than the sales, property and utility taxes. In addition, retired Kansas Citians no longer pay the Earnings tax.

Rodney Bland is heading up the election effort for Freedom . . .

  1. Better title for you TKC since we're talking diversity today, both black and white love the earnings tax.

  2. E-tax stays winning...

  3. I say make the earnings tax 10% instead of the measly 1% that it is today. 1% buys crap while 10% buys both unicorns and rainbows. And who doesn't like unicorns and rainbows?

  4. KC is full of gullible rubes, dolts and clods who will believe anything SLY AND HIS TRAVELING MINSTREL SHOW tell them.

  5. Get ready to Boycott, Boycott, Boycott!!!

  6. These two endorsements are worth about 60 votes combined. Besides their membership, who says I vote how Deb Hermann/Freedom Inc. tells me? Not without some finger lickin chicken or a BBQ/pool party at least. Sorry to put Deb in same category because she does actually do something for her neighborhoods. Doesn't change the facts.

  7. An election is nothing more than one group of people voting on how much taxes the other group will pay
    Vote with your feet

  8. SURPRISE!!!!! SHOCKING!!!!!

Former KCMO City Council member endorses tax on residents while she continues her "public service" as "CEO" (haha!) of a fabricated organization.

Freedom Inc., an East-side fabricated organization so that a small group of Black residents can wield political power over others for their personal economic benefit. How long has Freedom been in existence? Has the East-side been improved in that time period or is it worse now?

KCMO non-resident political consultants get paid to convince gullible residents that the sky will fall if the earnings tax is phased out slowly over 10 years. Oh, but they don't tell you the facts, do they?

When residents reject the earnings tax renewal, it will be TEN YEARS before it's gone!!! For a "vibrant entrepreneurial" city which Mayor James is always hyping, NO ONE IS CAPABLE OF ELIMINATING WASTE AND INCREASING EFFICIENCY WITHIN 10 YEARS? Say it ain't so Sylvester!!!

  9. I wounder how much they paid Rodney Bland and Clinton Adams in addition to the "contribution" that they had to make to the "club" in order to get the Freedom Inc. endorsement?

To my credit - i've had 2 Mayors of city kicked out of office, 1 city attorney, 1 city engineer, and 1 city Adminstrator - which one of you KCMO Degenerates would like to be added to the list ???????????????????

Enjoy your new found Fame - soon enough !!!!

KCMO and the Hap-Hazard water Dept. best wake the sam hell up, enough of residents NOT having water, because of their water main breaks and flimsy BS Excuses - can't say you haven't been told ,,,,,,,,,,

  11. But...but..but it's ONLY one percent!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. well that 1% is giving them hundrfeds of Millions of Dollars to NOT invest properly back into thiscity, and its been going on for too many Decades !

matter of FACT it waqs reported right here on TONYS KC Blog, just how much money they've been raking in, maybe TONY should re-post that information again ??????

  13. Northland and East Side both get more $$ from the city than they contribute, so it's only fitting.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Power player? Freedom, Inc.? Delivering 5,000 or less votes for the eastside... out of nearly 72,000. Uh, ok. Even with inner city math methods, that doesn't add up.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Year after year after year, doing the same thing, the same way, with the same people, even though the results get worse.
    What could possibly go wrong?
It's really too bad the single largest municipality in the area insists on dragging the entire metro down with its ancient identity-victimization-pay-them-off politics of the 1960s.
Another low-turnout 60% election coming up.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Freedom Inc. has had 50 years to make things better on the Eastside. How have they done??? Look around, go to a budget meeting and see how the voters on the Eastside are suffering with blight and lack of public services while rich people on the Westside get exemptions from paying the Earnings Tax. Freedom Inc. sold out their own constituents and should be ashamed. It's time to change the status quo! VOTE NO!! on question 1 !!!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Only a bunch of mooching coons would equate more taxes with freedom.

    ReplyDelete
  18. +1,000,000 @6:12PM.

  19. Deb Hermann sold us out. She doesn't deserve to be in called a northlander.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Is Deb a carpet muncher?

    ReplyDelete
  21. ^^^^ She had been married for 30 years. You people are trash.

    ReplyDelete
  22. What does she do in her "off" time?

    ReplyDelete
  23. The ONLY CDC organization? thats not true, theres an American Indian organization in KC thats a CDC and not that NNACC that was forced to close its doors after they proved in court that Larry Reynolds, & Steve Flick, who eventually admitted that they were not even Indian. they pouted and blamed the Mayor saying that city hall screwed up and let them claim MBE and DBE status
Seems everything about KC is a lie isn't it?

    ReplyDelete
  24. ^^^^^Yes, it is. And there are plenty of people who will uphold the lie if you pay them enough. Ie - Jason Parsons is for sale. Just because you're married that doesn't mean that you're not gay, either. See poster child for the cause Bruce Jenner.
