THE TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL PART DEUX!!! MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY NEIGHBORS FEAR TOY TRAIN STREETCAR WILL TURN INTO 'RATCHET EXPRESS' TRANSPORTING URBAN CORE VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS!!!

Here's the next stop for the Kansas City toy train streetcar opposition campaign that nobody wants to talk about but we'll break here FIRST.
Natch.
To wit . . .
IN MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY, TOY TRAIN OPPONENTS REMIND NEIGHBORS THAT THE STREETCAR TDD EXTENSION COULD SERVE AS CONVENIENT TRANSIT FOR VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS!!!
In fact . . .
In all likelihood the toy train streetcar line could move "crackin'" urban youths from one entertainment district to the next if the preferred Plaza/UMKC extension wins out.
Consider . . .
VIOLENT TEEN FLASH MOBS WOULD NO LONGER BE STUCK GOOFING OFF IN MILL CREEK PARK . . . NOW THEY COULD MOVE FROM THE COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA TO WESTPORT THEN TO THE DOWNTOWN P&L DISTRICT AND BACK AGAIN VIA THE TOY TRAIN!!!
Reality check . . . While streetcar cheerleaders envision hipsters partying across Kansas City BUT the other side of the coin is that crowds of urban core youth would benefit the most from the free Midtown Kansas City transit that the toy train would provide.
QUESTION: IS THERE ANY PLAN TO KEEP FLASH MOB 'CRACKIN' OFF THE HALF-BILLION DOLLAR TOY TRAIN?!?! DENYING PUBLIC TRANSIT TO ANYBODY IS JUST A DISASTER WAITING TO HAPPEN!!!
Behind the scenes, this fear and not tax talk is what really drove the project out of Brookside according to top sources @ Burns & Mac.
AND SO . . . LET'S CELEBRATE THE POSSIBILITY OF THE TOY STREETCAR PROVIDING TRANSIT FOR URBAN CORE YOUTH WITH ANOTHER WEEKEND PLAYLIST!!!
Here's a few songs to power Sunday night and flash mob "crackin" transit coming soon . . .
Developing . . .
It's not really a "love train" Tkc. Anything but.
ReplyDeleteUh Glorioso give you a stack of c-notes or something Tony?
ReplyDeleteThat's ridiculous.
Definitely sounds like something Glorioso would come up with for meeting with East KC neighborhood groups on the proposed toy train extension routes.
ReplyDeleteThem white people over there don't want you or your kids to have a streetcar because they belong to the KKK!!! The Plaza is full of white supremacists!!!
Behind the scenes, this fear and not tax talk is what really drove the project out of Brookside according to top sources @ Burns & Mac.
ReplyDeleteYup. Here it comes. Steve Glorioso mated with Burns and Mac.
Bullshit they drew South KC out of the proposed TDD for two reasons.
ReplyDelete1. End all the potential lawsuits.
2. It didn't stand a chance of passing in this district.
Next
Virtually anything nice in the Third District has turned into ratchet hot mess. So, too with this train but it will be voted down with fervor.
ReplyDeleteDon't bash Brookside - South KC. Doug Stone is likely the guy who took away their right to vote on this thing. Him and whoever the other three TDD overlords are.
ReplyDeleteThe train is a wonderful resource for Kansas City youths and scholars to enjoy their evenings after a hard days work in the summer heat or studying in summer school classes all day
ReplyDeleteLiberal view of the wirld
DeleteSo with Bannister Mall gone a few short years after Walmart asked for a Bus link to the inner city. To much crime made women shoppers leave, we didn't see the Mall any more?
ReplyDeleteSo what you're saying is if black people touch it, it will be ruined?
ReplyDeleteBannister went out of business because the 90's big box development boom and increased competition more then the crime factor in my opinion. Of course it doesn't help if shoppers have to worry about making it from their car to the mall without getting mugged.
ReplyDelete"hard days work in the summer heat or studying in summer school classes all day"
ReplyDeleteLMAO working at what beer pong and sexting in class?
Steve Glorioso mated with Burns and Mac.
ReplyDeleteHere it comes!
There are plenty of reasons to oppose the streetcar. This is not one of them. It is racist bullshit and teenagers can already ride the bus to midtown.
ReplyDeleteThe Streetcar opposition has been working faithfully with East KC long before B+M got that recent multi million dollar cash windfall city council had to find a loan for.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't going to fool anyone on these proposed extension routes.
Lol @ streetcar opposition "working with East KC". Bribing Freedom is not faithfully working with the East side.
ReplyDeleteNo one has ever seen you guys on the East side EVER. You have NEVER DONE SHIT FOR THE EAST SIDE, and you never will. Sorry you bought a sketchy peice of real estate partially on city right of way, Sherry. That doesn't make you an activist, it makes you a self-interested pawn.
The anti streetcar spin is dizzyingly foolish. You know who's not fooled, the East side and midtown.
And the idea that the streetcar wasn't going to pass in Brookside shows how out of touch you guys are.
EVERY light rail plan EVER proposed in KC (inlcuding on on the Trolley Trail) has PASSED IN BKS.
ReplyDeleteThe Streetcar will be Sly's WATERLOO.
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.
It's already on record that when the TDD goes down in flames on August 5th they are going to regroup and try it again.
ReplyDeleteThe people of Kansas City will be battling these vipers until the day Sly and Russ Johnson are out of office.
They've been working together since February 2014 7:52 now take your medication, liquid or otherwise and relax.
ReplyDeleteTHE gorillas are going to vote for the trolley without ever knowing why the city needs the damn thing. A-fucking-mazing!!!
ReplyDeleteBryan is right. The streetcar is a tremendous waste of money, but anyone who wants to cause trouble anywhere already has access to the buses.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mensa boy, that paragon of racial equality from the northland, is totally off the rails (heh, heh) once again at 7:52.
8:17, you're a jackass. Learn who your allies are.
ReplyDeleteIf you weren't blinded by racism, you'd understand that
"United We Stand, Divided We Fall"
Stop your crossburning and we might actually BEAT this thing.
PLAYLIST:
ReplyDeleteFirst of all let me say that this is an excellent list, with no losers!
But, everyone can't win 1st place, so let's count down to the Number 1 Song:
5) James Brown "Night Train"
4) Johnny Cash Folsom Prison Blues---love the man in black--but penalty for glorifying violence.
3) Gladys Knight and the Pips--Midnight Train
2) Cat Stevens--Peace Train
1) The O'Jays--Love Train--An International Message of Love!! "Tell all the people in Egypt and Israel..." Still relevant today!!!
Just call it the "Soul Train"
ReplyDeleteShit! This train is already black. I'd rather take the bus.
ReplyDeleteHey TKC, great train songs. Thanks.
ReplyDelete8:17, you're a jackass. Learn who your allies are.
ReplyDeleteIf you weren't blinded by racism, you'd understand that Freedom is the only major bloc to stand up AGAINST this bullshit tax. They have a lot more spine than most white so-called "civic leaders." (I say that as a white man.)
"United We Stand, Divided We Fall"
Stop your cross burning and we might actually beat this thing.
Jebus, you guys are out of the loop.
ReplyDeleteGLORIOSO IS WORKING FOR THE STREETCAR YOU DIPSHITS!
He wants his payday and doesn't care what happens to KC.
Get your teams straight or don't play.
Thank you for posting this TKC.
ReplyDeleteNow it's clear the streetcar critics are the real racists,
Working with Mike Bushnell and Bryan Stadler is not the same thing as working with the "East side".
ReplyDeleteHahaha, no wonder you guys are losing.
PS - always unintentionally hilarious how the racist faction of the anti-transit cabal thinks poor people and minorities can not travel on streets like everybody else. Apparently you genius have never heard terms like "get away car" or "car jacking" or "grand theft auto". Fucking dolts. Living in a bubble.
Cue the clowns claiming I'm Russ Johnson in

"Behind the scenes, this fear and not tax talk is what really drove the project out of Brookside according to top sources @ Burns & Mac."
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO so the streetcar crew is getting this desperate?
@8:50 Who you calling racist whitey?
ReplyDeleteSounds like the door to door electioneering isn't going so well and they are lashing out like mad dogs at the first convenient target.
ReplyDeleteWhen all else fails lower your standards.
Interesting. I remember blacks and whites marching in solidarity during the Brookside parade sending the first message out to the Streetcar goons and their fake save the trolley track trail facebook farce it ain't happening.
ReplyDeleteSo what hack working for B+M made this stuff up?
Blacks (ATA workers who got hoodwinked) and whites (who got lied to about trolley trail threats) marched in solidarity at the Brookside parade and got booed.
ReplyDeleteSome people cheered the CNG bus,a n everybody loves the trail, but you clowns got booed all along the route by actual residents who knew what you were about. That's what happens when you are crusading against the desires of the majority of voters in a neighborhood, and lying to your base of support.
The anti streetcar sideshow is a litany of lies. When one doesn't work you just make up another more ridiculous one.
Unfortunately, for you, most people know that racism has been the 3rd leg of the anti streetcar campaign from the jump (alongside tea party anti-tax Show Me shilling and Sherry DeJanes real estate mess). Too late to distance yourself from it now.
Even the Freedom leadership talked about it before taking your bribe.
There wasn't even one black person on the Mayors streetcar advisory committee this past spring. Sly hand chose all white people.
ReplyDeleteWhat's up with that?
11:03 is one serious basket case. Can someone get him some help? Before he goes totally psychotic?
ReplyDeleteThanks
You know why this is a fact? Becuase it doesn't help either side.
ReplyDeleteThe streetcar opponents don't like it because it makes them look like racists.
THe streetcar supporters don't want people to know it because free rides for thugs won't sell this bill of goods to voters.
Meanwhile nobody is looking out for voters. All of you special interests are ruining KC.
It doesn't matter if you're getting a paycheck from Nutter, B+M or Sinquefield, you're all just crooks looking for a handout and how to get one over on the voters. We need to clean house in KCMO. we must do better.
Google:
ReplyDelete12 Anti Transit Myths
It exposes the Save Our Trolley Trail/SMARTKC, er, buses are good enough and we promise we'll help you later groups playbook. Verbatim.
Can we play Sly's we don't have talent here in KC and have to import it video? Throwback Monday?
ReplyDeleteLMAO the streetcar people wouldn't even put or allow the latest modern state of the art bus fleet to be put on the table 11:20. Or even be discussed! For a small FRACTION of the cost of the main street line!
ReplyDeleteGood night
Seems like the streetcar crew's standard "tea party" card didn't work. LOL may as well try the race card I guess. Desperate men will do anything.
ReplyDeletePolsinelli's Plaza Vista - $81 Special Streetcar Assessment.
ReplyDeleteSee it, study it, think about it.
11:03 - the death rattle sound of the toy train before it's voted the fuck out.
ReplyDeleteIf Bubba Nigro can run all the ratchet pussy out of Westport in one weekend he can kick the pussy off the Toy Train.
ReplyDeleteLies from Burns $ Mac. East-siders are not stupid as Burns $ Mac thinks they are. Race card never works. The streetcar is out of Brookside because Brooksiders know a bad deal when they see one. East side knows it's a bad deal, too. This is so low to even go there, calling Brooksiders racists. Considering our local streetcar contractors are the source, I shouldn't be surprised, but I am.
ReplyDeleteThere is no hope.
ReplyDeleteKansas City
All Negro...All da Time.
"PS - always unintentionally hilarious how the racist faction of the anti-transit cabal thinks poor people and minorities can not travel on streets like everybody else. Apparently you genius have never heard terms like "get away car" or "car jacking" or "grand theft auto". Fucking dolts. Living in a bubble."
ReplyDeleteNo, 10:26, we don't think you're Russ. You're not as irrational, and if there's one mistake he wouldn't make it's to use the word "genius" (singular) when he means "geniuses" or "genii" (plural), since he thinks passing the Mensa test means he is one. (Hint: Mensa boy: The top 2% are not all geniuses.)
I'm not sure what point you were trying to make, but "get away car" or "car jacking" or "grand theft auto" used in a discussion of race and transit sounds racist to me.
Yup, it'll be known as "Soul Train" when all the niggers begin to use it, to the exclusion of humans..
ReplyDeleteRun the polar bear off and this blog is over taken by the "race slingers, everything is now racist". Bring back the bear. Does that make me a troll ?
ReplyDeleteWelcome to KC and the
ReplyDeleteSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUL TRAIN!
The city desperately needs the east side's votes to pass the streetcar despite the fact that 80% of this project is being built west of Troost.
ReplyDeleteDave and Russ like to spin the notion that the bus is "good enough" to be something racist, when in fact, it is simply equitible. Why should low income residents pay more for a streetcar that they won't ever use unless they can afford to live near it? And few will be able to afford those costs because the streetcar seeks to gentrify those corridors by expelling low income housing projects away from where white people want to live. Expanded bus service is not simply "good enough" for the East Side; it's better for all of Kansas City.
Michael Bushnell, myself, and many many others that have lived east of Troost for decades recognize that what we need is more funding for public safety, infrastructure repairs, and historic preservation. Russ Johnson represents the interests of corporations and Dave Johnson represents the interests of (mostly) white kids renting lofts west of Troost. They have a lot of nerve to try and claim that their half billion dollar project is more important than basic city services.
If their project is really so important and beneficial, they should drop this TDD bullshit, hold a city wide vote, and explain to everyone why it will benefit the entire city without hoisting the majority of the tax burden onto the poorest neighborhoods.
If there really are only 50 people that are going to ensure that the recreational trolley gets built over the wishes of we the people, at least don't give away free rides.
ReplyDeleteNo more runaway train!
So much chatter that you can not hear the back ground noise.
ReplyDeleteThey need the two increases to borrow (bond) on anticipated income when they pass the TTD and Lazy Ass Firement need a raise tax.
The City is facing bankruptcy if they do not pass...
Thats right they have indebted all your property in loans, Bonds and TIFs to the point you must pass more and more taxes to let them refinance the loans.
No one is telling you the truth just hype and promotion depending which side.
Tony might do some investigative research and reporting and expose this to you.
The Star won't.
Post anything against the Train boondoggle and you are labeled a racist. That is totally lame.
ReplyDeleteThe people constantly crying race, you truly are the shit of this earth.
I would rather be a racist in your eyes than to vote for a half-a-billion dollar train to nowhere, that nobody other that thugs will ride.
And no, I am not Gloriaso, a troll, or the polar bear.
Racist huh? I guess that is why Smart KC has spent the vast majority of their time calling out Russ Johnson, Cindy Circo, Doug Stone, and all the other white streetcar rubber stampers on their bullshit.
ReplyDeleteHilarious
Basically, the TDD, aka streetcar is a scam to take from the poor(tax payers) and give to the rich(Main Street Developers). If there is a genius out there that can show that the above is not so, I would like to hear from them.
ReplyDelete
