Plain Dealer reminds us more "second-tier city" competition . . . Political reporters prefer Cleveland over Dallas, Denver and Kansas City for Republican National Convention
Moreover . . .
KANSAS CITY EARNED NO VOTES IN THIS SURVEY OF WASHINGTON D.C. JOURNALISTS WHO WOULD COVER THE GOP 2016 CONVENTION!!!
On the other hand, it's nice to see that (real) newsies outside of this town weren't impresses by Mayor Sly's dancing.

Just about any place would be preferable to KC (CK)....Any place except East St Louis that is..
ReplyDeleteYou mean the GOPers weren't impressed by KC's four block long "entertainment district" of chain restaurants and mostly empty retail stores?
ReplyDeleteDidn't they see all the streetcar construction?
How about the Plaza on a Saturday night?
So much for fixing streets and sidewalks, planting new trees, and sprucing up downtown.
Next up: Sly's World Fair.
Dream big - summer Olympics.
ReplyDeleteWell Dave Helling already explained that if KCMO doesn't win the RNC bid it's all Chastain's fault!!
ReplyDeleteLet's hope the committee votes the same way. We don't want the expense & inconvenience.
ReplyDeleteIf KC loses, Sly will blame it on not having a new convention center hotel.
