AFTERMATH: NEW YORK TIMES COVERAGE OF KANSAS CITY UNDOCUMENTED ACCEPTANCE SPARKS NATIONAL OUTRAGE!!!

Criticism of the Kansas City CAN Center on the Westside is a longstanding talking point among haters of the undocumented and recently the New York Times examined the controversial neighborhood resource.

New York Times --- The Way North: Day laborers, mostly from Mexico and Central America, gather under I-35 in Kansas City, Mo., to wait for work

The story in the context of renewed immigration hateration, scapegoating of the undocumented and GOP divisions caused more than a bit of outrage.

However, this time it's different . . . Maybe because election time approaching leads to realistic acknowledgement that Republicans lose the White House to Hillary if they don't court the Latino vote.

Also, the Tea Party along with fringe elements don't seem to be gaining traction with their hysteria. In fact, they've only been effective in ripping apart the Republican Party.

I'm sorry white people . . . On the national stage, it's simply impossible to have an effective political party comprised only of angry white dudes - That low rent thinking really only plays in mostly disgusting rural Missouri.

Anyhoo . . .

The battle is over. J-Lo and her tight pants won. Example: Portland news was in a stir trying to prove that half the babies born in their city last year were NOT Hispanic . . . It was actually only a little more than a third of all of Portland's brown babies that caused the panic.

But I digress . . . The real story is that papusas are really tasty and your Latino grandkids will be feeding them to you soon enough . . .

  1. Hey, just so you know TKC.

    undocumented = illegal.

Thought i would spare you the correction.

  2. I recall reading somewhere that from a technical standpoint, there is not a law that requires you to have documentation to be in the country. You have to have it to ENTER legally. In other words, a crime is committed when one crosses the border but not when one stays. Granted, it's easy to presume that the law was violated if you find an undocumented person but from a legal standpoint, it's like finding a guy standing next to his car in KC only 3 hours after he left downtown St. Louis. You can assume he sped but you can't prove it.

  3. The idea that Hispanics will EVER vote for a conservative is stupid, wishful thinking that liberals want idiot Republicans to embrace.

    What a load of shit.

  4. I vote. Every election. Every issue. Every candidate. My children, thirtysomethings, vote. Every election, every time, even when they were in war zones.

I vote Democratic. Rarely, rarely straying. My kids seem to have the same leanings.

We like diversity. We try to get along with everyone in our country. Sure, things turned out badly for our ancestors when Columbus arrived but, hey! Welcome!

  8. Dear Mr. Obama:

I'm planning to move my family and extended family into Mexico for
my health, and I would like to ask you to assist me.
We're planning to simply walk across the border from the U.S. into
Mexico, and we'll need your help to make a few arrangements.

We plan to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports,
immigration
 quotas and laws.

I'm sure they handle those things the same way you do here So, would
 you
mind telling your buddy, the President of Mexico , that I'm on my
 way over?

Please let him know that I will be expecting the following:

    1. Free medical care for my entire family.

    2. English-speaking Government bureaucrats for all services I might
need, whether I use them or not.

    3. Please print all Mexican Government forms in English.

    4. I want my grandkids to be taught Spanish by English-speaking
 (bi-lingual) teachers.

    5. Tell their schools they need to include classes on American
 culture and history.

    6. I want my grandkids to see the American flag on one of the flag
 poles at their school.

    7. Please plan to feed my grandkids at school for both breakfast and
lunch.

    8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easy
 access to
 government services.

    9. I do plan to get a car and drive in Mexico, but I don't plan to
purchase
car insurance, and I probably won't make any special effort to learn
 local traffic laws.

    10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get the memo
from
their president to leave me alone, please be sure that every patrol
car has at least one English-speaking officer.

    11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put US. flag
decals
on my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do not
 want any
complaints or negative comments from the locals.

    12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes,
or
have any labor or tax laws enforced on any business I may start.

    13. Please have the president tell all the Mexican people to be
extremely nice and never say critical things about me or my family,
or about the
strain we might place on their economy.

    14. I want to receive free food stamps.

    15. Naturally, I'll expect free rent subsidies.

    16. I'll need income tax credits so that although I don't pay
 Mexican
taxes, I'll receive money from the government.

    17. Please arrange it so that the Mexican Government pays $4,500.00
to
help me buy a new car.

    18. Oh yes, I almost forgot, please enroll me free into the Mexican
Social Security program so that I'll get a monthly income in
retirement.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all these
things
for all of his people who walk over to the U.S. from Mexico.
    I am
 sure that the
President of Mexico won't mind returning the favor if you ask him
nicely.

Do you see how stupid this looks when you put it in writing????

    Logic is dead.

    Excellence is punished.

    Mediocrity is rewarded.

And dependency is to be revered.

    This is present day America.

When people rob banks they go to prison.

When they rob the taxpayer they get re-elected.

  11. Simplified...... the Mexican should have their own little territory. There they could cook make their burritos, fried beans and chimi's. When we need a roof put on or our lawn mowed, we will drive buy and one can jump in the back of the truck, do the job, and jump out when we drive back by.

Same would apply to the American Negro, only difference other than body odor would be the American Negro won't work. So we would just be hauling dead weight. But then we are already doing that.

Oh well, the Polar Bear will stick with the spic.

  12. @1007, what is really odd is that you find displaying your intolerance and hate a stylish display, but only if you are anonymous.

You have deep issues that cut across politics.

    Good luck with that.

Now, bring on the F-bombs. That will be surprising.

Tony here is something to consider. Most Mexicans when faced with a block denoting race on a form, check white and then check the Hispanic ethnic box.

The idea that immigration reform will result in the Democrat Party being politically dominate for the next generation is based on a static model and a belief that political paradigms are not currently changing and will never change. The Democrats thought the same thing in 1964 with the landslide election of Lyndon Johnson but in four shot years, Richard Nixon was elected and for the next twenty years, the Democrats only elected one president, Jimmy Carter. It was not until 1992, the first time in forty eight years that the Democrats elected a president, Bill Clinton, who would win two terms. British Prime Minister Harold Macmillan once said: “Events change governments.” There are deep schisms in both political parties.

Consider too that Hispanics are not a monolithic group. Even among Hispanic groups such as Mexicans, the political interests of all Mexicans will not be the same because of differences in income and opportunity. Will the interests of Mexicans and African-Americans be the same in the future? Can one party address the needs of two very different groups? The problem with coalitions is that a party is serving many masters. One hundred years ago WASPS were very concerned about the influx of Irish and Italian immigrants into this country. Italians were loyal Democrats for a few generations and now many vote Republican. Perhaps Mexicans are the new Italians and the American Borg will assimilate them and in two or maybe three generations, they will all only speak English and vote Republican. Another factor not in this static model will be the future intermarriage between Mexicans and White Anglos that could produce a new majority. Based on current data, when Mexicans marry non-Mexicans, they marry white Anglos and not Blacks.

  14. Amazing how Tony tries to keep his nose up every cop's ass in Kanss City, but if a taxpayer would like to see some legitimate law enforcement related to immigration he is suddenly a racist hater.

Fuck you liberal cunts. In sprite of what your mommies never told you there are opinions in this world that actually differ from yours.

    ReplyDelete
  15. BTW: The Republicans have more minorities, by far, in major political office than the whiners on the left can even count Of course you have to find a liberal who thinks blacks and latinos are not the only ethnic groups who have a legitimate voice in this country.

12:35 You are correct and this is why political pundits should not predict the future based on static models and this is why there will be a shift in political party paradigms. The Left is often more guilty of sterotyping people than the Righ.
