SWEET: DEAD TREE MEDIA DUDE DAVE HELLING FORGIVES CONFLICTED PART-TIME KCP&L MAYOR PRO TEM CINDY CIRCO!!!
This morning we should be honored that Kansas City Dead Tree Media Dude Dave Helling is commenting (one week later) on news that KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS BROKE regarding a new KCP&L gig for Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Circo.
Better still . . .
DAVE HELLING FORGIVES COUNCIL LADY CINDY CIRCO BECAUSE HER GIG IS ONLY PART TIME!!!
The reasoning is kind of convoluted but let's see if we can make sense of it . . .
Newspaper: Maybe we miss the real conflict
Money line:
"Circo has disclosed her private sector job. The answer lies in transparency — voters are capable of deciding when a public official improperly enriches himself or herself, as long as they know an officeholder’s outside interests.
"Still, Circo’s announcement is a reminder of an important feature of American democracy, especially at the state and local level: It’s a part-time job.
"Kansas City councilmembers can be lawyers, bankers, businessmen, ministers. Salaried or self-employed. Indeed, they’re expected to have outside jobs."
Ahem, we don't mean to contradict Helling's attempt at folksy charm. However . . .
COUNCIL LADY CIRCO DIDN'T "DISCLOSE" ANYTHING UNTIL OUR KICK-ASS BLOG COMMUNITY REVEALED, REPORTED AND BROKE THE NEWS OF HER CONFLICTED PART TIME JOB!!!
Again, I'm not sure what the point is here other than the fact that none of us are smarter than Helling . . . I don't know if this blog community is willing to stipulate as much but what's certain is that Dead Tree Media doesn't really want to hole Mayor Sly or any of his minions accountable for much nowadays.
However . . .
Since we're talking about Cindy Circo conflicts . . . Let's review:
- She never bowed out of firefighter votes back when she was married to one.
- She's currently helping/shaking up with Jackson County politico Theresa Garza Ruiz in a residency scandal that'll only get worse.
- This KCP&L gig is only the tip of the ice-berg that starts with the GO-KC PAC that has designs on running the next election with Mayor Sly cash.
And so, it's easy for Helling to absolve Mayor Pro Tem Circo because it's clear he really hasn't thought about how many conflicts involve the Council Lady . . . We hope he'll read our blog more often in order to find out.
Developing . . .
Cindy Circo shouldn't be allowed to hold public office.
ReplyDeleteBeth did it the right way. Beth did not have outside employment while serving on the City Council.
ReplyDeleteWho is Beth and who posts at 2:26 in the morning?
ReplyDeleteLately, Dave has really been kissing the collective ass of the powers that be.
ReplyDeleteMust be rumblings of another round of pink-slips at the Star.
Helling is either fishing for that big, inside skinny political hit-job story to give him another years' worth of employment at the Star or he's angling for the cushy communications job a la Hernandez and Mansur.
Dave?
6:36- Could be that squeezing Dana's big titays has helped Dave to find his softer side.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, that's the other big, round, permanent 5-o'clock shadow, Ketz.
By mentioning Beth, I assume the blogger is referring to the Jewess from the New Reform Temple, Beth Gottstein. Legend has it that she gave up her career in politics to get married.
ReplyDeleteWill she make a comeback in politics?
ReplyDeleteShe was kind of hot in a bat crap crazy kind of way
ReplyDeleteI bet 2:26 was wanking it to old channel 2 videos with Beth on.
ReplyDeleteFor most of the council people, their $67,000/year gig is probably the best job they're ever going to have, so they fight tooth-and-nail to keep it until they can find another spot on the public payroll. And working at another job is one thing; taking ajob with a company that does lots of business with the city is something else entirely and demonstrates once again how little the elected folks in KCMO much care about their public responsiblities or what the public thinks about much of anything. A nice poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
ReplyDeleteAnd just what about Circo's experience, training, expertise, education, or background would make her a candidate for wmployment at a regulated utility?
Why doesn't someone else with her background apply at KCPL and see what happens?
Surely a former councilmember would have a private sector job by now.
ReplyDeleteHelling just trying to get in her pants
ReplyDeleteIn the post-Prendergast era this has pretty much been the litmus test for whether a crime has been committed in Kansas City politics. You can do what you want as long as you don't hide it.
ReplyDelete6:36 comment, I think you may be on to something there with your observations. Let's see if there are more "staff reductions" at the Falling Star.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it just last week that Helling was "walking out of the Sprint Center and sensing a new vibrant mood Downtown"? Because it "looks pretty", all the developer giveaways, the increased taxes, etc., must be worth it he reasoned.
Helling you are a two faced bastard
ReplyDeletePooty has a picture of Cindy but is not sharing.
ReplyDeleteCindy Circo's got the giggles!
ReplyDelete"voters are capable of deciding when a public official improperly enriches himself or herself, as long as they know an officeholder’s outside interests."
ReplyDeleteUh someone tell Helling that the corrupt bitch is "termed out" so the voters cannot decide a damn thing! That man is as dumb as a bag of hammers.
I know Circo sucks dick and she licks Garza's pussy part time!
ReplyDeleteI wanna be her tampon.

ReplyDeleteDo you juveniles always have to use gutter language instead of THINKING,
Your Mother's must be so proud.
We would like to hear your comments, not your gutter language. Stop a minute and think if your response is well thought or the first thing that pops out of your 14 year old brain.
Your responses with such language are an embarrassment to all of Kansas City. Stop it. Unbecoming at best.

Get over it.
Maybe the fact that she serves on the zoo board with Chuck Caisley (KCPL public relations president) has something to do with her new career opportunity. Just a thought!
ReplyDeleteSeems weird that someone with such little qualifications would get a job of this capacity. I wonder if serving on the zoo board with Chuck Caisley (KCPL Vice President of Marketing and Public Affairs) helped her out with her new career? ??
ReplyDeleteIts because Cindy agreed to swollow while Chuck inpregnated her mouth... Wait, isn't that a Kanye West song?
ReplyDeleteIf you look at disclosure forms, she even took campaign money from Local 42 when she was married to Firefighter Dan.
