Recently, we've been thinking a lot about the history of Kansas City's institutions and this morning we found an exceptionally captivating clip that puts this town's public education system in perspective.

This trip down memory late takes us to a time before so many broken promises and a generation of FAIL ruined the KCPS or at least put the district in a constant state of perpetual "turnaround" and politicking.

Notice the expression of pride in these institutions and realize that despite so many promises . . . Nowadays celebration of Kansas City Public Schools is mostly through press release and not heartfelt sentiment from current or former students.
