MORE KANSAS CITY CAR CRIME REVEALED!!! TKC TIPSTER: CATALYTIC CONVERTER THEFTS IN THE RIVER MARKET TOO!!!
This is one of the better things we do on this blog . . . Using this bloggy goodness public forum to help people avoid Kansas City crime when the news slips through the cracks of mainstream media. Unlike former Jersey Shore star JWwoww, we're actually good for something besides washing a car in a bikini . . . But I digress.
To wit . . .
TKC TIPSTERS TELL US ABOUT EVEN MORE CAR CRIME UNREPORTED IN THE RIVER MARKET!!!
Check the testimony:
"I can also confirm that there have been multiple thefts of catalytic converters in the River Market Area, as well. I personally know of at least 5 incidents that happened on Friday (10.11.13). Thanks for bringing the problem to the attention of your readers."
What can TKC Readers do about it . . . Maybe reminding Kansas City politicos that public safety is more important than toy trains.
But short of that, we're hoping this link from a car insurance company might be somewhat helpful:
Nationwide | Catalytic Converter Theft Prevention
To prevent catalytic converter theft, use common sense and follow these tips:
- Always park in well-lighted areas
- At shopping centers and other similar parking lots, park close to the entrance of the building or near the access road where there's a lot of traffic
- If you own or work at a business or factory, park within a fenced area that's busy during the day and secured at night
- Engrave your license plate number on the converter to make it traceable
- Purchase a vehicle security system and make sure it’s set to trigger with just the slightest motion
- Visit a local muffler shop and have the converter secured to the vehicle’s frame with a couple of pieces of hardened steel welded to the frame
- Check out the different types of catalytic converter theft deterrent systems at your local auto parts store or online

Developing . . .
The race to becoming third world is well underway.
ReplyDeleteQuick lets open up Slyman's Catalytic Converter courts.
ReplyDeleteThieves are also targeting cars old than 10 years because they can sell them for scrap without a title and the scrap yards don't care if they are in good condition. They cop out by saying they have done nothing illegal.
ReplyDeleteI can confirm a theft in River Market on Thursday 10/10
ReplyDeleteNiggers will steal ANYTHING!!!
ReplyDeleteLet's see, we have Catholics, niggers, queers, other, non-classified deviants and the usual run-of-the-mill thieves, here in Kansas City. Is this a great town, or what??
ReplyDelete2:54 And the toy train is going to make it even better.
ReplyDeleteAND we have a NEW logo to make it prettier!!!!
ReplyDeletelol, now you guys HAVE to take the streetcar.
ReplyDeleteBummer. We shouldn't have elected a mayor who admits to criminals that his hands are tied on crime.
Here is another tip that may help. Have policemen patrol your neighborhood. Crooks know the KCPD does not patrol in River Market.
ReplyDeleteHey 8:48, name a neighborhood where they patrol. Doesn't happen in KC. If you have a car or a residential breakin, the police will tell you to phone it in for insurance purposes. They sure are not going to COME OUT to investigate. That is true in every single KCMO neighborhood, even the nicer ones.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, report a breakin or a car or a residence over in JoCo, there will be at least 2 police cars there almost immediately
Criminals know this, and that is why they stay out of Leawood, Prairie Village, OP, etc.
holy shit! how big will the catalytic converters be on the toy train? When word gets to the scrappers they will be gone!
ReplyDeleteI swear, this is the way to rid the world of nuclear waste. Just let the niggers think that it's valuable, and they'll steal it! Pretty soon, they'll all glow in the dark and can be rounded up for transport back to dear ole darkest Africa..
ReplyDeleteawesome 7:05
ReplyDeleteThis is becoming a big problem. A couple of weeks ago Front Street 4 employee's had their catalytic converter stolen during the day at their job.
ReplyDeleteLast night Sterling bowling alley in Independence several individuals were victims as well.
Bad part is how many organizations we have in Kansas City to help those in need and instead of using those services, stealing is an intelligent decision for them.
