TKC BREAKING EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! REPORT: JACKSON COUNTY EXEC MIKE SANDERS TO STEP DOWN AS MISSOURI DEMOCRATIC PARTY STATE COMMITTEE CHAIR!!!

Yes, we were tempted to title this: "Skippy Steps Down" but that's kind a mean and overall he does a good job even if his list of political enemies is mounting.

Here's the word . . .

Regarding an upcoming conference call, Kansas City Political Insiders tell us that Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders Will reportedly step down as Missouri Democratic Party State Committee Chairman.

That's right . . .

JACKSON COUNTY EXEC MIKE SANDERS WILL REPORTEDLY GIVE UP HIS TOP MISSOURI DEMOCRATIC LEADER GIG!!!

Obviously, this signals that he's looking at moving up to bigger and better things . . . Feel free to speculate but remember that there are not a lot of "open" elected official spots at this moment and the County Exec is known for his preference to deal with politics in a rather smooth and behind the scene manner rather than getting into open, public conflict.

P.S. - Hoping he can come up with a better excuse than he "wants to spend more time with his family" line.

Developing . . .

  4. Skippy wants to go to Washington so badly, that's why he rarely keeps office hours anymore.

  5. Oh, he's still around? I thought he was already politically dead.

  6. It's most likely political pressure to step down. When you can't keep your own house in order - overseeing the only real job of county government, the ability to assess and tax property, how can the power brokers put you out as the leader? He should have been paying attention to what was going on around him - but that means you need to give a @#$% and actually step foot inside the courthouse.

  7. He clearly is not paying any attention to what's going on. He is the laziest county executive we've ever had - always working on his next political project and failing to do the job he was elected to do.

Tuluride is right with his or her first thought.

  8. ALL Democrats should step down.
    To Hell.

6:03 beat me to it. Now we need to work on getting rid of Sly James.

  10. Dump the Bigot Vote7/9/13, 9:14 PM

Maybe the Dems did not like the fact that Mike would not speak out about the White Supremacy Rally scheduled for Jackson County Park Land this fall because he cuddles with the racist vote in Eastern Jack. But then again, I have not heard a word in opposition from either one of the LeVota's either.

  11. Sanders is running for AG, plain and simple. Cant raise money for himself and for the party statewide.

    ReplyDelete
  12. BTW, nothing new here, the guy has wanted to leave for the last 7 months but the Dems couldn't agree on his replacement so he was asked to stick around. the new candidate has been selected it seems now.

  13. It's very simple. Do the job you were hired to do; don't screw up basic functions; show up for work; hire competent direct reports; and get promoted. Don't do it and end up like most other county executives.

  14. Can anyone give one example of an accomplishment during Mike's term(s)?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Accomplishment - hire someone else to do the job you are elected to do. Worked pretty well until that individual decided to unofficially retire.

  16. Let's Look At the Record and Ask a Few Questions7/9/13, 10:47 PM

Well let's see 9:49 Mike cut the budget in the county well below what is necessary to get the job done, just like a Republican. But then the wheels fell off in the assessors' office because they did not have enough people to do the job.

And Mike hired a complete idiot by the name of Michele Newman to be Parks Director who cut deal with the resurgent Klan in Western Missouri to host a Hate-Rally on September 14 at Missouri Town -- like a good Republican.

Mike has failed to accept the assessor's resignation and Mike has not fired Michele Newman -- will we find the City's missing $15K first?

But let's also make sure that Phil LeVota is asked whether he supports the Klan Rally at Missouri Town and what he would do in response to it before he is elected to chair the State Democratic Party.

  17. START A CLOCK:

Does the $15,000 show up first or does Mike Sanders fire Michele Newman and accept Curtis Koon's resignation first?

  18. If this is the best Missouri Democrats can do for a leader we need to go dig up Pendergast and re-animate his ass.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Is there a bronze of Pendergast somewhere

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yep There was a bronze of him doing the Pioneer woman while Harry held his nads, but it got stolen too.
