Last night thanks to AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS we received FIRST word about a disturbance on the Plaza last night.
Now . . . We're putting together social media reports and messages from other sources and here's an update . . .
First up . . .
FOR THE FIRST TIME WE'RE HEARING REPORTS OF WHITE KIDS DETAINED UNDER THE NEW PLAZA PARTY DISTRICT CURFEW!!!
Council Dude Jermaine Reed complained about arrest disparity . . . So this suburbanite detention spree might make him happy.
And then . . .
WORD IS THAT COMMUNITY CENTER AND LATE NIGHT PROGRAMS ARE FALLING OUT OF FAVOR WITH URBAN CORE YOUNGSTERS!!!
Initial reports last night revealed that large roving bands of unsupervised teens continue to stalk streets around the Plaza. Let's face facts, it takes parents to get youngsters to community centers as well . . . The problem in this instance might not be resources but parenting - Which is a lot tougher to legislate.

MAYOR SLY'S "CLUB KANSAS CITY" STRATEGY MIGHT NOT BE WORKING . . . SO NOW WHAT'S THE PLAN?!?!
The problem of Kansas City youngsters without parental supervision is persistent, aggressive and dangerous . . . Let's hope in this instance Mayor Sly doesn't write off the problem again by claiming his "hands are tied" on this issue.

Round 'em up, black, white, whatever. The closest community center is the holding facility, notify parent(s) and make them respond to that location to pick up their child, issue the summons to court and fine the piss out them. Dont pay the fine and parent and child ordered to perform manditory community service in da' hood for all to see.

Blacks running in the cities like feral animals. Get used to it, this is the new normal. It is only going to get worse. If you chose to live in an urban area, you better stay in your home or your little enclave at night because it is open season on you by the feral animals that now inhabit every major city. As home invasions increase, you will not even be safe in your home. This will only get worse until the feral animals run the producers out into the far suburbs or the country and have the cities all to themselves. Do not look for a solution from any politician. As Rahm Emanuel said: “You don’t let a good crisis go to waste.”

ReplyDeleteHere's the deal. The Plaza includes public, not private streets. You can not keep the children away.
ReplyDeleteIn most cities the downtown area is the night spot and people of all ages, races and motives flock there. Some come for entertainment. Others come to commit crime. That's life in the city.
The key is to enforce the laws and enforce them consistently. If there is a curfew, enforce it. Even if it is not past the curfew and a youngster is causing a disturbance or commiting crime, arrest them. If an adult is doing the same, arrest them. It is called patroling a heavily populated area. Go to a real city and see how it is done. I have lived in KC all my life but traveled and partied in Chicago, Miami, DC, New Orleans, etc. These entertainment areas draw much larger crowds and yes they include unsupervised kids. Police seem to know what to do.
