TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY FIREFIGHTER POWER BROKER SHERWOOD SMITH REVEALS HIS PLANS TO RUN FOR JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATURE AND PASS TAXPAYERS UNLIMITED, INC. TORCH TO TRUSTEE STEPHEN DAVIS!!!
Kansas City Firefighter Department Captain Sherwood Smith stands at the outset of a new career.
In the minds of most cowtown political denizens Mr. Smith defines KCFD advocacy.
A brief look at the career of Sherwood Smith so far:
In the KCFD, Mr. Smith rose to the rank of Captain in career that spans 35 years since joining the Department in 1978. He has served as both President and Vice President of the Missouri State Council of Fire Fighters. And, of course, Sherwood Smith has served as the Executive Director of the political action committee Taxpayers Unlimited, Inc for more than 16 years.
Taxpayers Unlimited is widely regarded as one of Kansas City's most powerful and effective political groups.
Sherwood Smith's career with the KCFD has been storied, incredibly successful and now might be the springboard to a life in the world of local politics.
To wit . . .
SHERWOOD SMITH REVEALED HIS INTENTION TO RUN FOR THE JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATURE 1ST DISTRICT AT-LARGE SEAT ON THE RECORD AND EXCLUSIVELY TO TKC!!!
For Mr. Smith, the transition doesn't seem so drastic.
"I want to keep advocating and fighting for working people," Sherwood Smith said. "Working for public safety or voters is really the same thing and that's the perspective that I hope to bring if I'm blessed enough to get elected."
Sherwood Smith will continue to serve Taxpayers Unlimited, Inc. as an "Emeritus Officer" but as of Oct. 1 he will no longer serve as executive director. In the Fall he plans to retire from the KCFD.
Accordingly . . .
TKC WAS FIRST IN LOCAL MEDIA TO MEET THE TAXPAYERS UNLIMITED EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELECT STEPHEN DAVIS AND TALK A BIT ABOUT THE FUTURE OF THE JUGGERNAUT KANSAS CITY POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE!!!
Stephen Davis has been with the KCFD for a bit more than 10 years and he was effusive in his praise for Sherwood Smith.
"I realize I have some very big shoes to fill," Mr. Davis said. "But I think that Sherwood has set the stage for us to meet the challenges that confront firefighters in the future."
This TKC / Taxpayers Unlimited Summit took place @ Twin City Tavern which is now this blog's favorite dive-bar in all of Kansas City. Here's a barroom shot of Sherwood Smith (left) and Stephen Davis (right).
The most important thing that Executive Director Elect Stephen Davis wanted to get across . . .
"In order to effectively build on what Sherwood has done, we need to capitalize on the relationships we've built, we need to make the transition seamless and continue to communicate the message that our membership is on the front lines in working and advocating for public safety . . . But more than anything else, what I hope to achieve with the help of Sherwood and the membership is a sense of continuity," Mr. Davis said.
And so . . . Sherwood Smith begins his transition to the world of local politics as Taxpayers Unlimited, Inc. turns a page in their history.
THIS IS PART ONE OF THIS EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW AND WE'LL HAVE MORE ON THIS EPIC MEETUP AND ANNOUNCEMENT LATER IN THE DAY!!! STAY TUNED!!!
Developing . . .
A decent bit of reporting from TKC.
ReplyDeleteFor once.
Nicely done dude.
Now go to sleep.
:-)
ReplyDeleteSherwood is perfect for that job brings experience and caring to the table.
ReplyDeleteJust what we need. Another fucking nigger, in a position of authority. How's that working for you so far, Kansas City?? Don't you love your black Prez, Congressman, Mayor, Police Chief, whatever???? Oh yeah, it's sure been wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThis would sure be an "Affirmative Action" type of election.
ReplyDeleteAnother step closer to becoming Detroit of the Plains.
ReplyDeleteSherwood would then "negotiate" with the Prosecutor's Office because Local 42 represents the legal staff in that office.
ReplyDeleteThis is particularly interesting because Local 42 made sure that JaxCo Prosecutor Mean Jean Peters had no opponent when she for state representative and no opponent for county prosecutor,
I am surprised you did not point out these facts Tony. I guess your Legal Eagle Lynn, who represents lawyers who were fired for cause, might just benefit if these conflicts of interest are allowed to advance to fruition?
Do we really need another puppet politician spending our tax money? Or is this just an attempt to get our local political scene to look even more like the cast of extras from "Planet of the Apes"?
ReplyDeleteThis will be a fight between the FF Union's nigger and the Eastern Jack's developers Uncle Tom. We are fucked.
ReplyDeleteLook how nervous you all made Alvin Brooks. You made Brooks go back and eat fried chicken with the people he thought he could leave behind. The problem is you can't organize to move city hall because for some material reason you got your pride.
ReplyDeleteMy "Dole Bananas" stock is going to skyrocket! Maybe Sly and Sherwood could share a tire swing at the zoo?
ReplyDeleteGood point. You all can't your head out of a eugenics mindset. I think you're boozing like Kyle.
ReplyDeleteANOTHER nigger leader in KC = FAIL!!!!!
ReplyDeleteA boss is a boss
ReplyDeleteCapt Smith is a stand up man and is a great captain, and leader. He's seen a lot of bullshit come his way at the fire department and he's swallowed it and moved forward. I'd work for him in a heartbeat and I will be voting for him without question.
ReplyDeleteThe KCFD will be losing another great old school captain. I'll be sad to see him go, and I know many other brothers will be as well.
Just look around. Why is it so difficult to figure out that niggers ruin everything they touch. Put them in leadership and they fuck that up too. Damn, can you not see the forest for the trees??
ReplyDeleteI AM the Juggernaut, Bitch!!

The funny thing is that n-word guy doesn't live anywhere near KC really.
ReplyDeleteNo.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter, there are niggers everywhere. They have actually spread throughout the world, like a virus, a deadly fucking virus.
ReplyDeleteGrab ankle. A fire department raise is on it's way.
ReplyDeleteSherwood Smith is a good guy who is able to see all sides of an issue. He'll be a much-welcome addition and antidote to Girl Power and Felon Tindall.
ReplyDeleteSherwood, You have earned and now you deserve to win the County Legislative position.
ReplyDeleteI hope Sherwood makes some changes, county has a lot of issues to deal with that the current crop has ignored.
ReplyDeleteWould he fuck over the citizens to further his personal agenda?
ReplyDeleteHe "Sherwood"!
Would he be a puppet conduit of power for an exiled former Union Boss?
He "Sherwood"!
Would he conspire with Jan Marcason and Cindy Circus to screw over the KCFD?
He "Sherwood"!
Where ever Sherwood goes, corruption goes with him.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see the KCPD FOP sloth standing up there
ReplyDeleteYou know 2:45, there are N-word folks all over KC and the entire planet. Not everyone is enthralled with niggers as you are.
ReplyDeleteAll we need is another politician with ties to fire dept. I'm sure Sherwood's agenda would be to help his "old school fire buddies" from the inside.
