TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CITY HALL WANTS $12 MILLION FOR KANSAS CITY WATER DEPT. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
A move to put more money into a beleaguered Kansas City department has created quite a stir.
To wit . . .
KANSAS CITY INSIDERS RAGE OVER A $12 MILLION ASK FOR KANSAS CITY WATER DEPARTMENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Here's the proof . . .
Ordinance #130568: Appropriating funds from the Unappropriated Fund Balance; authorizing a $12,000,000.00 contract with West Monroe Partners, LLC for the Customer Service Improvement Plan Project.
This one is the brain child of Mayor Pro Tem Cindy Circo And Jan Marcason . . .
Focus on $12,000,000 contract for a Chicago based consulting firm to "improve" the Water Department's Customer Service . . . And then remember that last week when this ordinance was introdcued, Mayor Sly and Council we're bragging about citizen satisfaction. Contradiction: If Kansas City residents are so satisfied . . . Then whey spend all this money for improvement?
More from Kansas City Insiders . . .
"Look at the fact sheet, it's woefully short on any real information. How in the Hell do you spend $12 Million on customer service, who is this company? This flew in under the radar and people are shocked about the way they're trying to ram this one through . . ."
Another perspective . . .
"Who are these people? Stunning that the Water Department has the balls to try to get this by the City Council. I bet the entire payroll for the Customer Service division costs less than that in a full year."
Developing . . .
Stop City Hall's blank check.
ReplyDeleteNow!
You've got to be fucking kidding me???? Time for a new water director, city manager, city council, and mayor.
ReplyDeleteTake it out of the broker fees for the fake insurance that they tried to sell us on water lines.
ReplyDeleteBoy howdy, somebody is sure getting fucked on this one! Probably the citizens of Kansas City.... This shit HAS to stop and SOON..
ReplyDeleteHow much is that per water customer?
ReplyDeleteIf the city has an extra $12 mil sitting around, maybe they could pay their customer service reps better--or even get better customer service reps.
ReplyDeleteThis contract smells--no, reeks--of graft.
In defense of the Water Department, they DO have terrible customer service.
ReplyDeleteNo KCMO is not Detroit but they are trying real hard to catch them.
ReplyDeleteWell I guess Cindy and Jan are grabbing some money on the way out, these contracts always come with grease like a consultant contract for one or both after they term out. Greed always wins.
ReplyDeleteThis is utter horeshit. Remember this corruption when these criminals run for re-election. The State needs to audit this city now!!
ReplyDeleteIs this the same water department that usually has one worker in the hole and six workers watching?
ReplyDeleteHow big of a hole do you need
ReplyDeleteFuck no! Are you kidding? The water bill is already high as it is. No more money down this literal drain. Hell-to-the-naw!
ReplyDeleteThis is corruption that old Boss Tom could only have dreamed about.
ReplyDeleteAnd the city wants control or your police dept. think crime is bad now?
ReplyDelete12 Million when you don't even have customer service.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever seen a business of any kind take on a debt of 12 Million to fix customer service.
I mean folks. If they are not hiring customer service experts in their customer service department what would make them any different than any other freaking bureaucratic government operation
?
Someone needs their ass handed to them.
They should spend the 12 million fixing all the leaky water pipes in the system. I hear that 1/2 the water is lost to leaks.
ReplyDeleteWhat are we paying the current Water Services management for?
ReplyDeleteYowsa...we heading for Detroit by way of devolving and dsysfunctinal Kansas City administration.
ReplyDeleteJust no end to the insanity huh?
This city has been talking about water dept, and sewer improvments for 22 years that I know of. This was one of the thing I do remember good as I only had UHF and had to watch city meetings if I wanted to watch TV. The one thing I will say for this city, they arre good about talking about, complaining about things that need to get done. They just haven't figured out how to get it done. The citizens of Kansas city should pay their taxes like the city gets things done. Just talk about paying them, and complain about paying them, and just don't pay them.
ReplyDeleteThat has to be a mistake... I could see 12,000, even 120,000, but $12,000,000. Maybe they should fix some water lines instead of doing customer service after the line is broken.
ReplyDeleteMaybe this customer service effort is buying pillows for all the workers sleeping on the job. They need it and it would make them less cranky.
ReplyDeleteCould the customer service department also take calls for the new light rail?
ReplyDeleteHey, when you can weasel $100 million in new taxes for a little bit of street car and you find out how to force it through....
ReplyDeleteThis city is a slave to special interests.
Take a look how close these blood suckers are from city
ReplyDeletethere is so much corruption and lying just within the dept. the director of water and his top boys club should resign and get out of town. Shortly so much is going to hit the fan. the wwtd needs so much help and has asked for years repeatedly and this is a slap in the face to them. one should not believe a word they say. sly/troy and mcgurk have not done their job of cleaning out the fly's....some (low level even) employees are ready to resign because they cannot accept city money for their job because of the out right dysfuntion and wrongness ... and this to will be disregarded by them.
ReplyDeleteSorry to shout but KCMO City Hall ain't listening: FIX OUR FUCKING STREETS!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere is the State of Missouri? My God. This is the worst corruption I've ever experienced from a city government. Where is the mainstream media? Where!?!
ReplyDeleteKC Water Service Customer service how may I help you?
ReplyDeleteI would like to report one of your crews. One man sleeping in truck, one man grocery shopping at Price
Chopper, one man smoking cigarette on my stoop, one man reading news paper. And finally one man stole my new 2 yr license plate tags off my car parked out back.
The story you have just read is true. Only the names have been changed to protect the innocent.
1 - we should not be spending tax money on fluff like customer service when it should be spent on actual infrastructure -- like all those water main breaks.
ReplyDelete2- if city hall is determined to waste money, can't they at least have the decency to spend locally.
Is there NO ONE at City Hall to stop this?
Troy Schulte, please resign. Terry Leeds, please resign.
ReplyDeleteHorrible department that has us all by the nut sack. Pretty tough to go without water; it'd be like a permanant camping trip.
